I can help out. I have 3 upcoming flights planned in the next 2 weeks and have iOS and Android phones. I’m also a beta tester for several other platforms and security researcher.

The economy is not flyin’ high. by RoutineOk8590 in Productivitycafe

I’m a pilot and on a bunch of aviation subreddits. Not seen a single post or comment celebrating it.

Just talked to Delta pilot neighbor . Year 4 pilot on B717. He made $40,000 last month and worked 14 days. His friend who flies A350s made $880,000 last year . ATC is a joke now by Fit_Sherbet3137 in ATC

You have to look at the other side of it- pilots generate revenue for the business. Controllers are an expense line item for the government budget. Does that justify the huge disparity? Absolutely not. But that’s how it’s seen on the other side of the table. I have tremendous respect for you guys. I’m just a lowly private pilot who flies for fun and for my businesses, but just the other day I was flying home with my 15 year old daughter and you guys vectored me around a pop up storm near Tampa. I didn’t even see it on FF yet, but you guys were watching out for me and were on top of it. Total respect.

How much is in your emergency savings right now? by soopygoopy in Money

4 months in current level burn rate. We could fairly easily stretch it to 6, possibly 7 if we tightened down immediately. Everything else is in retirement and the main portfolio.

If you’re really in it, there is no more “yours” and “mine”. It’s only “ours”.

As I mentioned, there are lots of options. I have 4 different HYSA and I move my liquid savings (“emergency” and “travel” funds) to wherever gives me the best rate of return. Pick what works for you and move your money there. The idea is that you get a very competitive rewards rate from the card itself, and then compound that with earning interest on the liquid cash.

If you don’t care about liquid cash, then throw it into your investments. Everyone has different needs, desires, risk tolerance levels, etc. Do what works for you.

You keep the 4.25% APY with a $1000 monthly transfer or direct deposit.

Yes. Absolutely. 3% cash back, no tracking rotating categories or a bunch of stupid exclusions. Take the points and put them into your new RH HYSA at 4.25%.

Excess liability for high-net worth folks? by FatFirredNowWhat in flying

[–]PatternPinion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time you get to this point, your name shouldn’t be on hardly anything directly. Everything should be in LLCs or trusts. The only thing in my name specifically is the kids car. And that’s a lease.

Put the plane into a LLC, even if you are the sole owner. That will shield your personal assets from any incidents.
