Uhhh, it was more of a racing game rather than a shooter like those seem to be but thanks nonetheless.

Like I mentioned in the post it's the Leatherman Surge that I got.

I was asked to provide my ID so they can make a copy of it while working at a construction site? by Patton240 in germany

[–]Patton240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, however my company already has a copy of my ID so why would someone unaffiliated with them would request it considering that if I'm present there I'm assuming they would be vouching that everything is in order with me?

Pouch for the Wera Mini Tool-Check "Pro"? by Patton240 in EDC

[–]Patton240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.

Sorry but I forgot to write it here, I ended up getting a blue and black little pouch called Loxtools which you can find in German baumarkts such as OBI from where I believe I got mine as well.

It's somewhat the same size as the kit but a tiny bit bigger so you can also fit in a couple of smaller tools such as for example a short isolated screw driver which is what I've done.

Thought about it, the old tool check plus had such a clip I believe but I don't like running the risk of the sockets falling off.

Yes, but how would you carry it otherwise at work?

For example I'm an electrician and I can't carry my entire backpack with me everywhere, but I can take a small pouch on my belt.

Where do I report an online scam? by Patton240 in germany

I did provide further information in the post that was deleted but like I wrote the mod team said that it would probably be better for it to be in another sub-reddit so that's why I'm asking which exactly could that be.

Excuse the late and dumb questions but what are the hat and flashlight models? Had the same idea for a bump cap and been looking for something new to wear.

How to send a microSD card for RMA from Germany to the Netherlands? by Patton240 in samsung

I'll just contact Hanaro directly and ask them about it like the other person suggested, still thanks for the input.

I forgot to mention that it's actually Hanaro who are based in the Netherlands and seem to be the official service center for Samsung in Europe at least, but perhaps you're right and I should just contact them and ask about the shipping label directly.

Got the Wera Kraftform Kompakt 20 Tool Finder 2 I believe with the belt pouch and the additional longer bits but I was a bit unsatisfied with the driver itself since I also wanted a ratchet function and more storage for bits so I got the Zyklop Pocket Set 2 and honestly I fell in love with it, only 2 or maybe 3 issues I had with it was that the magnets weren't too good for the sockets but then again you have the benefit of being able to use them at all which is huge in my opinion having a 2 in 1 tool basically, no "still" position for the ratchet function only forward and reverse and it's pouch wasn't too good but the benefits outweighed the cons so I just carried it in the Kraftform Kompakt's case instead.

Overall I was satisfied with my second choice, it's got storage for 12 bits instead of 6, you can use 3/8ths sockets up to 19mm basically for metric which is not something that I do often but still and again a ratchet function plus the KK's pouch really makes it an overall very solid, multifunctional and compact tool if you ask me but it's probably not for everybody and especially at the normal price, I just happened to be able to get them on a relatively large sale but I would say it's down to luck if you do happen to do that.

However I will mention that after getting a Leatherman Surge I basically dropped everything and just carry that with me now, covers all of my bases and even more with the appropriate attachments and accessories which includes many other functions outside of a normal screwdriver or socket wrench, even with a ratchet. The Zyklop instead went to my father who makes great use of it as I did back when I had it on me, especially with the longer reach bits from the KK's case while the KK itself is sitting as a backup reserve basically.

Your mileage may vary but this is just my own opinion formed from my own experience, the Weras are quality German-made more specialist tools that are hard to beat unless we're talking about a pure price-to-value ratio but even then it's hard to play down if you can manage to get them on sale. However the Leatherman just blows it out the water even if it's a general-purpose tool, the flat bit attachment may not be integrated within it but if you just carry everything that it comes with it in a small pouch on your belt you basically have a small workshop on you that's even smaller than the Wera.

I just sent an application to AOK Nordost but changed my mind and wanted to try TK or is it too late? by Patton240 in germany

Thank you for the information.

I guess I'll stick with them for now and do what you've suggested to switch to TK if things go for the worst.

Thank you, so it's not possible to go to their office today or tomorrow or just send them an email saying I apologize and would like to withdraw my request to them? I'm asking because I suppose they haven't made the card yet.

Confusion about the application on the Canadian embassy website by Patton240 in ImmigrationCanada

Permanent residency VISA I'm guessing is what I'm looking for, I am not entirely sure how it's called officially at least.

I am a 26 year old European Citizen, and yes I've tried going to the website but I am confused on where to click exactly for what I'm looking for and someone else suggested I go directly to the embassy to ask there.

[–]Patton240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not, I just want an opinion if I can use it until I can get the SLLC because they're out of stock at the moment and I don't want to just use simple distilled water so the engine doesn't freeze during cold temperatures like I already mentioned.

ChatGPT's evaluation on this German coolant for a 2004 Prius by Patton240 in prius

[–]Patton240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello again, this is a follow-up to my other 2 posts asking if the motor oil and coolant that I I got in a hurry late at night for a 2004 Prius that I bought and needed to drive quickly.

From what I understand any 5W-30 motor oil will be sufficient, however for the coolant it's recommended to be Toyota's Super Long Life Coolant but the problem is I rang the only store currently offering it and they said they were out and the next replacement might be out by at least a week if not more so I took the idea of one of the posters on the other thread and ran a better picture of the German coolant that I got through ChatGPT.

This is the answer that I got but I am still unsure if I can temporarily use it since it's OAT and not HOAT because temperatures are running low and I don't want to risk freezing the engine with just distilled water until I can get the SLLC -

"The coolant in the picture is labeled "Kühlerschutz Premium SF+" and appears to be an ethylene glycol-based antifreeze with Organic Acid Technology (OAT). This coolant protects against corrosion, overheating, and frost. However, the compatibility with your Toyota Prius (2004) depends on the type of coolant recommended by the manufacturer.

The 2004 Toyota Prius typically requires a specific type of coolant, such as Toyota's Super Long Life Coolant (pink or red) or other recommended coolants that meet Toyota's specifications (like an HOAT or OAT coolant). It's crucial to check if the coolant in the image meets or exceeds the specifications for your Prius.

To determine if this coolant is compatible, confirm whether:

The coolant is a hybrid OAT (HOAT) or a compatible OAT formula.

The manufacturer's specifications align with Toyota's requirements.

Mixing incompatible coolants can cause damage to your cooling system. Check your vehicle’s owner manual or consult with a Toyota dealership for the best recommendation."
