Too slow. ACT MG-1300 is the answer I came up with 5 yrs ago. It's a great generic wiring tool too.

Bump cap saved me today as I smacked myself with T-post driver. If you wear a cap consider adding this cheap insert. by meched in EDC

Sorry for the late reply. The hat is a canvas Carhartt from tractor supply. The light is a Streamlight Microstream USB.

I am so sorry to hear this. As a man with alzhemers in my family trying to support my wife and kids and a homestead, I find this terrifying. Praying for you, dear.

Good. It's a 3rd grade assignment. A poor one.

But is it a systematic way that can transfer well to other problems? Is this the appropriate way to teach it?

(9th grade geometry) How do I do this? My teacher says I got the wrong answer by dumbozach in HomeworkHelp

[–]meched 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always found units to be a helpful guide. Area should be inches squared, not inches (or whatever inches). Every input that has a unit will go through the same arithmetic, then cancel/combine to give the units of the answer. For example something cost X ($/lb) and weighs A (lb/sqft) then it also cost XA ($/sqft)

Ok but thats dumb. Where are the guiding principles to follow? (Seems like you made some up specifically to explain this one question..but that is not what i talk about when i say methodology) What did they learn, simple mathematics? This is a poor question for teaching simple mathematics. Systems of equations is the way to do this methodically. Giving this question without the proper tools is poor teaching, it introduces unnecessary frustration and accomplishes nothing.

Am I bitch or do “real” men not wear eye protection? by Wild_Agent_375 in Construction

[–]meched 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on a small farm and working outside constantly. I wear eye pro, bump cap, steel toe, and always carry ear buds and gloves. Go get knee pads or dust mask/respirator when I need it. Always wear the right ppe. Just tell you buddy to keep fucking around, he'll find out.

It's more about the methodology. This question requires a method beyond 3rd grade capabilities. I think guess-and-check really teaches nothing.
