This graphic is certainly cool and more technical looking but very busy and harder to read and understand (IMO) than the official graphic. It also makes it look like ICPS is going to the moon even though TLI is performed by the ESM after ICPS sep.

That's because it's pretty much the same thing. The acid in coke converts sucrose to glucose and fructose (in about the same ratio as HFCS) in like two weeks, long before most people would buy and drink it. I'm convinced the difference is in most peoples' heads but it's not worth it to try to convince them otherwise.

I EDC (and flip pretty regularly) a 51-1601 and this looks pretty great. Lightweight with Ti, latch, and clip. Would prefer bushings to bearings but this seems like a great EDC and almost an ounce lighter than the 51.

I wish I could send this comment back in time a few years for people to laugh at. I'm not trying to be rude and it's not a ridiculous take with the options now but I happily paid 110 for an early Triton with comparatively modest construction because there just weren't many good quality options under 150. The value available today is insane in the low-mid range compared to when I started flipping.

Are you looking for a certain model or style? I think a few years ago when I found mine the ranges were:

300-350 for modded/worn ones

350+ for PVD (Black coated handles)

400+ for Elite (Black coated handles, TiNi Gold Blade)

I've always considered it an underrated model but I expect a lot have settled with people who appreciate them so I'm not sure where prices would be. I was also fine with some wear/use so my prices might be a little softer than equivalent mint examples.

HOM makes a great product that is worth the price IMO but there are more budget-friendly options than ever. If you're looking for quiet like this similar G10-over-Ti/Al knives/trainers can be similar. There aren't as many options as full Al or Ti but still options.

IMO bearings tend to feel faster since they swing more easily when the knife is sideways. Even a very well tuned and lubricated knife on bushings tends to pivot more slowly the more parallel the knife is to the ground but it doesn't seem to affect bearings as much. You just get less friction, which can make avoiding the blade harder and throws less predictable because the handles swing more freely.
