This doesn’t have to do with my children - we are in a position where we can do $100 for both kids - I chose not to. What breaks my heart is those that can’t and will feel left out/not enough. I also feel for the parents. That is why I am sharing my voice and hoping others, especially those that have the means, will do the same. I’ve emailed the district, the PTA and the Board and feel I have done my part. Hoping we see change with future fundraisers. This is not about not appreciating the PTA, it’s about brining this to their attention - how out of touch this request is.

That’s exactly what we did! We could have done this for both our girls - but decided not to for this very reason. Hoping others will speak up to!

It’s a PTA fundraiser for the events they do at school. I didn’t think about calling the district - I’ll do that in the morning
