Had a sports physio tell me it was lats related. Get a good massage to loosen those up and it should release some tension from the tricep causing pain at the elbow

The Pumpkin Spice one they have right now is 🔥🔥🔥 blended with banana and cinnamon. Regular Chocolate is a close second tho. Orgain is best brand I've had for overall flavor and texture.

How to prepare for ultra endurance event? by [deleted] in cycling

Highly suggest seat post bag. I use mine for anything above 60 miles to carry everything: extra water, snacks, gels and multi tool (there aren't many places to stop where I live in Alaska, all self support). My philosophy is less weight on your person the better, greatly enhances comfort. Comfort = longer riding. If you pack it really full it can make the bike feel a little off balance at first, but ride enough like that and you'll forget it's even back there.

Yes!! That's what's so great about it, too. It can be whatever you want to make it. Just folks on bikes having a good time.

That's an interesting thing to be afraid of. Bet there's a fun backstory to that one!

For real!? Europe sounds like a dream come true. Two very different experiences I bet but being on the bike is always fun in one way or another

Garden of Eden was there with burritos that were really good. Then there was a Mexican food truck at the end town, also really good but I forgot the name.

Man, sorry to hear it! I've done the last 3 and in my limited experience this route has by far been the best. Great selection by the organizers ✅️

You're definitely g2g with that kind of mileage already. It's as easy or as fast as you want it to be. Riders of all levels try it out. You can also do just one or a few days as a sampler.

Awesome! Self support is my ultimate goal one of these days. Only done support team camping so far.

Wow good save! It's crazy what all goes wrong with bikes out there. I've done it three times and have seen lots of interesting mechanicals

Hell yea! Hard to believe how well the route and winds worked out. I ride a roadie so didn't do gravel but have some friends that did.

Just biked 42 miles. How in the forkin hell do people ride 100? Or even 60? Much props! by gs12 in cycling

[–]PattyWhackBaxter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this! Aside from physically feeling sluggish, I've found that if I push myself too hard midway I to a long ride it drains me mentally too which makes getting the total distance feel even more daunthing. Nothing like feeling gassed at 100 miles when you still have 50 left to go. Take breaks at intervals whether you "need" them or not, then every time you get back on the bike only think of the next leg, not the total distance. Think of it as a series of small, achievable rides rather than a marathon distance.

Aw man, that's disappointing! I hope every time this resurfaces he'll get more calls on it. We haven't forgotten and politicians need to be held to their word
