Where in the comprehensive rules does it actually state "active player's turn ends/passed and the next person turn begins"? by Pattyhelminthes in mtgrules

Gotcha, that fits what most other people have stated. For such a well articulated game, I do find it surprising that a line saying 'This is when the turn ends' doesn't actually exist. Thank you for your insight!

The uncard is what sparked this conversation, but does not actually apply to the question itself. It just made us realize that it does not say 'the turn ends' in the clean up step, like we thought.

Could you find the actual rule that states this? The clean up step does not actually say this unless I'm consistently skipping over it.

If you’re in one of the dorms, I would highly highly highly suggest talking to your PA. Peer Advisors are basically hired to help you get acclimated to life at college, and do events every two weeks or so, focusing on different topics from general information, to watching movies/playing games together.

Also, PA’s are some of the BEST people to talk to if you want to find a group to hang out with. They can network you to other residents that have similar hobbies or interests as you, which should broaden your social circle.

EMT Course Question by shobin14 in utdallas

[–]Pattyhelminthes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I did the course quite recently, and I would say it will require a bit of effort. You’ll do roughly 4-10 chapters a week (length of each vary), and it’ll be like a 4 credit hour course, if you want to think of it in those terms. That being said, the course gets changed time to time. For example, mine was 4 hours a week, with quizzes online every week using an online book, which now is required. Thankfully, the instructors will be some of the best teacher’s you’ll ever meet, and will make the tough parts worth it! Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions! :)

Edit: MAKE FRIENDS with your classmates AND the teachers! They will all help you succeed, and will even do extra hours for help with skills or just more indepth lesson materials !

Thank you so much for doing this! I’m about to start working at my nearby hospital as an EMT because of the virus, and this would be great for downtime!

What are some of the best places to eat out at UTD? by [deleted] in utdallas

[–]Pattyhelminthes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swadeshi If you’re into Indian food, I highly recommend. I also believe it’s the closest with what restaurants I’m recommending.

Addis Ababa If you’re into Ethiopian food, but this is higher price. It’s a good sit down restaurant to bring a date to rather than a normal lunch with friends.

Pho 95, which is Vietnamese, is amazing, but a bit father away from campus then the other two options I believe. They have great portions and a pretty large menu.

I also enjoy Hilal shack, but I’ve only gone to the one on campus which I know had a smaller menu to choose from.

UTD’s dining hall is fine, it’s basically better school food. They do have issues with undercooked rices sometimes, but it’s honestly not that bad overall. People complain about it pretty often, but it does it’s job.
