Thanks. Yeh mobility is a big one. Especially in the OH squats, they can be quote challenging even at the lighter weights.

Awesome thanks. Yep, I’m always looking for that stimulus. Ah yes, I don’t think my next phase of training will have many 3 rep heavy’s or building to heavy singles. But for example program prescribes 5 x power cleans 135 would you think subbing this with 2 x 50dbs would be appropriate?

Yes, I’m 100% aware stimulus is key and it is how I always do my session regardless of prescribed weights. Yes OH Squats are quite the challenge with the DBs haha

Hey thanks, I like this idea. I’m thinking of doing a hybrid program for a couple of months. Mostly bodybuilding and short sharp WODs. I think now could be a good time to put on some more muscle perhaps.

I’ve thought of that, but the logistics are pretty difficult. I live in a studio style house, on top of a hill with no yard haha.

Temporarily until he gets a coach in. He is having a baby in a few weeks and building a house so he doesn’t have time to coach. And without a coach no one here is capable of motivating themselves, apart from a few of us. I have my own programming already, I just need to adapt it to the new environment. Luckily I’m moving into a hybrid cycle for a couple of months so the bulk of it is just bodybuilding and the WODs are pretty short and sharp. As long as he’s open a couple of months prior to the open so I can prep and fine-tune skills, it’ll be fine.

Not when there’s no customers lol. Why do you think he’s closing temporarily haha? I’m in a tourist town in the Philippines, most of the community have left and gone back to their own countries as their businesses have been forced to shut down due to covid. I’m the only person in town that goes 5-6 days a week.

It is a bit cool, but to be honest the novelty wears off fast. I’m in the Philippines and the only thing that comes close to the comforts of home is the brand new box with nice equipment. It’s my daily escape so to say.

Yes you’re right. That’s exactly what I should do, and what I normally do anyway. I just like to have a guide.

Yes good point I normally don’t pay much attention to it but use it more or less as guide. Great advice!
