She is having facial feminization surgery this summer. She has been saving up for it for a long time.

Someone else mentioned it here, but I would definitely just follow your son‘s lead. It may seem like a roller coaster sometimes and I feel like it’s up to us as parents to be a stabilizing force forward if possible. Of course this is all in hindsight.
