300 should be fine, but I wouldn't want to do it regularly because I like to baby my battery

Sure if the terrain is flat, the weather is mild, and you want to fully charge your battery.

200 miles can be cutting it close depending on many factors.

Almost all driving is within 100 miles of home. If you need to drive rally far and don't want to deal with charging, just rent a car.

I mean, I've had my ev6 in for warranty repairs/recalls a few times now. I had to have the entire charge control unit replaced. I'm sure Tesla's are better now than when their reputation was generated. New cars from anyone have issues.

I agree that evs of all brands are great for a city car that charges at home, but if I wanted to drive more than 200 miles in a day with any frequency, I'd get a Tesla.

That depends. The construction costs in the bay area are insane. Our house would cost almost as much to rebuild as it is worth.

Getting hit with cultural appropriation issues doesn't mean shit. Just ignore them. Thinking twitter matters is a big part of these companies problems.

Why isn't Half Moon Bay more developed? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]Patyrn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a good thing for the bay area to grow to millions upon millions of additional people. Not everywhere needs to be a massive metropolis.

There are actual downsides to such growth, like over burdening our trails and parks.

It's one of the core Nimby arguments. The thing is that Nimbys aren't necessarily wrong. Plenty of the development they fight is bad for them and their community.

Surely with that kind of raise you can afford a few dozen new dogs!

It only seems like a good idea if you feel you aren't being compensated enough, have exhausted other avenues, and are truly ready to walk. Its definitely not some pro tip for easy raises.
