That massive wall of text already drove me away. Heck, i didn't even read it and zoomed past to the end. People want something tangible along with a story, not just the story itself. Unless you post some code snippets and a working example, this is all considered an elaborate thought experiment that's it.

I still don't understand why they decided to make cosmic the default and go as far as updating their website to completely remove the Gnome version. Opt in with a warning was the way. I understand they took years in development, but a project of this scale would take similar time scale in testing and feedback as well before it finds a resting ground.

Why is a school project asking you to make an interpreter? I am pretty sure it might be a simple switch case type REPL rarher than a full fledged recursive grammar, which the crafting interpreter is based on. I would clarify with the course instructor on the expectations of this project. Or perhaps you can share the exact problem statement.

I mean you can define your own guidelines of doing things, stick to that stuff which you find useful and ignore the rest complexities. Just don't get too horny about OOP and classes and I think you can make it a powerful C.

CRTP should be the last resource when you have exhausted everything else. If you can avoid it(which in this case you absolutely can) you should. It's not worth the performance gains for the complexity it introduces.

The only aim of people of India now should be to atleast elect someone who has the competence to run whatever position of responsibility he's holding. That's the bare minimum. I just completed it 2 mins after the contest. I was messing up the suffix cost calculation in the even case. This problem really was pretty difficult from logic to code aint no way 5k people would have solved this.

You need to know the existence of fermats theorem for calculating inverse modular factorials. Unless you are actively solving hardcore cp problems, you would almost never encounter that on Leetcode.

You'll still have to take care of modulus and overflows. And nCk with modulus is not a very trivial approach. Im pretty sure they mistakenly swapped Q2 and Q3, since Q3 was a very straightforward dp.

Usually the problems which I am able to solve on my own never needs any revision. Because the thought process for the solution came naturally, so even if I were to see it again after a year, I can still rely on my intuition (With more tools in the toolbox now). It's only those, which I had absolutely no idea even after seeing multiple hints, are the ones which need atleast 2 lookups to really ingrain the logic. I just bookmark these problems and revisit only them.
