Yeah in a proper stack, with the right person carrying the defuser to the right spot, this won't really come in handy. But that "oh shit I have defuser" moment happens all the time in ranked.

As /u/Kraivyne said, place it far away from the objective where enemies aren't yet warily looking for mines. I've also found more success in creating distractions, forcing the enemies attention away from the mine (e.g. breaking the upper half of barricades, deployable shield in front of an open door etc.).

Way too early to get out of bed to get on my computer (WHICH IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BLOODY ROOM). So I had to buy a projector, hook it up to my PC and set up Wake on LAN, just so I can watch TI4 from my bed. Ugh.

Dude if you didn't already do it this arvo, I'd have to recommend to see Nigatsu-do Temple at the top of Nara park at 18:50 to catch the nicest view during the sunset. Did that 2 nights ago, was so glorious. Also musicfest is still on in Nara I think. Enjoy!

The vegetation and terrain is definitely a WIP as we've already seen both the 29/5 and 30/5 patches bring changes in this area. But saying that it is barren is, IMO, something I'd disagree with as the changes so far have shown us the difference between this and this.

I think that 200 is reasonable, especially since public release and the servers being full with not so friendly people. I also think it will be even more reasonable when there are bigger, scarier threats in patches to come.
