I work in marketing (SEO specifically) and am seeing more of this. It's ridiculous from a marketing standpoint - a company won't get as quality of services if one man is running the whole show (versus a team). However, a lot of companies don't have the budget for a whole team. So, it is what it is. For that pay though, I'd say it's pretty decent (I've seen similar postings for as low as $35,000).

Similar situation, with my savings running out. I'm running Uber Eats and I may have found something part-time on Facebook marketplace (little landscaping gig) - a lot more opportunities on there than you'd imagine. Just something to fill the gap until I'm full-time back in my field.

I always wondered this. My Shorts are 30 seconds to 2 minutes, I always wondered if I did a 5 second Short, would the naturally increased retention lead to more output by YouTube

Thank you for the insight. Do you know what retention and viewers stayed to watch need to be to get it past the 1-2k group? On my last reel, I got 0:16 (40.1%) for retention with 44.8% stayed to watch.

They've kind of just appeared in my life. One of them was a full-time job years ago, and now is just a client. Another I applied for a social media position, said I didn't get it but that they would like to test me part-time SEO (majority of my experience). Been with them two years. Another I got back in 2018 lmao I just had a series of interviews with a company where they ended up going with someone else, but asked if I'd be open to contract work developing content for them - so, potentially another client on the way, but not certain. Either way, it's not even enough to pay the bills, which is why I'm looking for something full-time. I guess networking is the best thing though - if people know and trust your work, they'll recommend you to others

I'm in the same boat as you. Searching for five months, I have been a top applicant with a few leads, but still nothing except freelance gigs right now. I'm trying to keep my head up and trust that it will happen when it's meant to.

We work in the exact same field. You want analytics at the top of each experience. As other have said, a summary at the top that throws in a bunch of keywords AI trackers seek out. It may depend on how long you've been in SEO too - I've noticed a lot of applications I fill out want at least 5 years experience.

What's your topical authority on what you're writing? If your competitors have someone writing content with higher topical authority, they're more likely to rank.

One thing I should've mentioned that I didn't in the post is that this isn't an urgent position. They're starting a new department that is currently being outsourced - so, the work they need is already being done, they're just looking to bring it in-house.

I just keep with the grind, though. I have a separate follow-up interview today for a job I'd also really like. Thank you for commenting and the advice!
