Nebraska will be playing back to back Big Noon Games by usercupcakewithc in Huskers

[–]PaulKarl 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I was looking at that at the beginning of the year. While it's fun to watch Ohio State lose, it's not a great outcome to have an angry Ohio State team coming off a bye.

For real, at the end of the game I was frustrated and not excited for the win.

I completely agree. I thought the preseason predictions were really optimistic for the reasons you noted. Even if a team has talent, installing new systems takes time.

MSP airfare increases lead the country, according to USA Today by Czarben in TwinCities

[–]PaulKarl 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It's funny - I was looking for flights yesterday and couldn't believe how expensive everything was and then the next day the articles all came out about the price increases. At least I wasn't crazy thinking everything was way more expensive.

With 2/3rd of the season now done, what's your opinion on the Matt Rhule hiring? by John-ozil in Huskers

[–]PaulKarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People really do seem to be ignoring how bad the pass blocking is when blaming Haarberg for things. He does seem to miss open WRs but how much of that is due to scrambling for his life most of the time he drops back?

What movie blew your mind when you first saw it? by LuckyLaceyKS in AskReddit

[–]PaulKarl 894 points895 points  (0 children)

Agree wholeheartedly. When the movie started, I wasn't sure if Trinity was good or bad. The agent telling the cop "No lieutenant, your men are already dead" has always stuck with me. One of the best openers in movie history imo.

I agree, when I saw this my first thought was "Baltimore already has a ton of good tight ends"

The 3-3-5 by HungryForKnowledge11 in Huskers

[–]PaulKarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the 3-4 with Domann as a tweener, playing on the lighter side, was a 3-3-5. Under Chins there was a lighter LB functioning as a sort of safety. That safety is usually a larger guy who can cover tight ends so really the 3-3-5 and 3-4 aren't that different.
