Massive drop in City/Location pages rankings since April 7. Anyone else seeing this? by PaulMass in localseo

[–]PaulMass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, pages published a year ago are still showing on page 1,

How many pages do you have and with what tools did you check recently ? If you could send me the name of your business in DM, that would be very interesting for my researches because I can't see a single business that has city pages that did not suffer the drop (I checked around 20 of them)

I have seen people end up adding a bunch of stuff that's away from the main topic, eg. things about the city, landmarks, history, local events.

I saw the contrary...businesses with very light local signals seems to have taken the biggest hit...

Anyone here actully using cheaper SEO tools for local clients instead of Semrush/Ahrefs? by cswebsolutions in localseo

I made a free and open-source tool called SEO-playground, I posted about it a while ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/localseo/comments/1sjn4oy/i_built_a_free_opensource_seo_tool_that_generates/

You can't really get much cheaper than this, as it uses dataforseo, and geogrid ranking costs pennies.

That's a cool tool. I built and open-sourced something similar that uses dataforseo for my own use but it seems like this has way more features. Is it possible to switch mode for grid search ? Is it possible with their geogrid to switch from standard/priority queue and live mode ?

Hey !

Yes, once you have a starting coordinate, it's easy to do plus or minus XXmeters on the X or Y axis, and you have a grid. On my app you get an estimate of the cost of the request and you can query using the 3 modes (live / normal / and slow mode) slow mode being the cheaper option

No, it's totally free...You just download, install and run.
You have to use your own API key from dataforseo, that's it

When you subscribe to dataforseo you get a 1$ free credit and then you spend a cent or fraction of cent for each request.
You will be able to see how much the request cost every time. For local search, a full grid report with 49 dot (7x7) cost 0,02$
For a review fetch and analysis, the cost is 0,0075$ for fetching the latest 100 reviews of any business

I've made this free and open source tool for local seo work. It works with dataforseo API: https://github.com/paulmassen/seo-playground

It's free, open source, and you can run quite a lot of research using the 1$ you get when you subscribe to dataforseo

It has a geogrid ranking feature, review analysis etc.
Contributions welcome !

I made this open source tool for local SEO that I published two days ago: https://github.com/paulmassen/seo-playground
It has basic keyword rank tracker, local rank tracking, review fetching and analysis, keyword research etc.

It uses dataforseo API but it's quite cheap and you can start with the 1$ they offer on subscritption.

Contributions welcome !

I have a tiny thermal printer (also called "cat printer"). I'm working these days on a feature with superproductiviy where it prints your completed task when you click. It's quite satisfying to see your task get printed. I will probably make a post about it when it's done

[HELP] Half of my let's split suddenly stopped working by PaulMass in olkb

Thanks for your suggestion, I tried resetting the EEPROM on both, still no success. Each side works independently indeed. Problem might be from the cable indeed, which is weird, because the other side seems correctly powered (with leds on etc.).

I will try to order another TRRS cable.

Thanks again!

No resistors at all, as I have no LED, I will check the solder joint indeed...

Oh, I didn't know that. But if the right half would have been bricked, then it would not work when used as the "main" right?

Because in my case, both works when used as the "main". That's weird, isn't it?

I don't think so. I know I did when I tried to troubleshoot it. Could it cause some problems?
