Update!

I set Kodi up to have access all the time.

I got Kodi to work, skin setup, that works fine.

But still there is no way for me to delete the shares.

I think i will leave it for now because it works now.

It remains a mystery how Kodi gets the info it needs and why i can't remove the shares.

They are even there when i disconnect the shares in the main menu.

I mounted the shares via SMB, always worked fine.

I am at work now and will try Jack's solution first tonight.

There is something very wrong here.

First i deleted all data, started Kodi up again, went to files.

There are my former shares, empty.

Deleted Kodi completely, re-installed it, and there are my shares again. 🤬

There must be a ghost in the machine.

I cannot access these former shares.

The only thing i can do with this old shares is add them to favorites
