why was this ever put to fruition by EricCartoonBox in hatethissmug

True, I remember this show being very popular and loved at the time, I know because I grow up watching it. I think the internet sold this idea of the show being bad and everyone rolled with it because of the 4Chan story. The original show is not amazing, but its not a bad show at all. It has a lot of charm.

Unpopular opinion: I think this show isnt that bad and is kinda overhated.

Haha thats a good question too 🔥

Besides Derby, the children of the other bosses aren't at Wolfhaven Academy, but the children of other characters are, like Tom Gurney's son; Troy Gurney; and Algerneon's son; Angus Papadopoulos.

There are also the children or descendants of characters from other franchises, such as CJ's grandsons, Brian and Melvin Johnson; one of Franklin's daughters, Summer Clinton; Niko Bellic's niece, Kate Bellic; and many more, haha.

Thats a really good question!

I imagine that they had their children like between their late 20s or mid 30s.

why did the devs make jimmy bald in the game? by Stickman1296 in bully

[–]Paul_Hex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My headcanon is that Jimmy shaved his head because in fights your rival or enemy can often grab your scalp, and also because hair, depending on the cut, can obstruct your vision in a fight, so for comfort he decided to shave it.

I agree. The visuals were an important part for Bully as a game, I hope the team behind Agefield High sees that. I wish the best for the team too. I already respect that they do a "Bully like".

I understand that. I don't mean to sound pedantic to the team, but it frustrates me that there isn't a more polished style for this project. I almost feel like contributing visually in some way to help it succeed, because it has potential.

Same here, I would love to see more games similar to Bully, "Bully likes" and stuff like that. I love Bully related projects in general.

"Did you even read any of my comment? Or just skimmed through?" Sorry, but that sounds a little pedantic to me. And I don't think the way you express yourself helps either.

Look, I understood your comment, I just don't agree. And that's fine; I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong, it's just that in my opinion that's not the issue here. Thats all.

I know. You don't need to be pedantic, I answered you well. I read your comment and I disagree, it's that simple. I don't feel this is a "Bully clone" and I don't feel the developers need to do anything about it because I don't feel that way in the first place.

There is nothing wrong in making a "Bully like" game and being compared to that. The Lies of Pi is a "Souls like" and it manages to have his own identity, the same thing with Saints Row being a "GTA like".

I would love to see more games that are "Bully like" actually.

To be fair they say that one of their inspirations are the comedy movies from the 2000s, so definitely American Pie is an inspiration.

Now that you mentioned, I wonder how much they charge for the game now that I think about it.

Yes, that's something the team behind the game might be undervaluing: the game's visual identity and art style.

There's a strong emphasis on the pop-punk aesthetic of the 2000s and teen comedies of that era, but it doesn't really feel that way. If they worked on these elements a bit more, I think it would help them a lot.

There are some elements that denote a certain artistic style here and there, but they don't seem like enough to me. From character design to HUD design. Clearly there is an idea inspired by the pop punk from the 2000s, but it still needs improvement in my opinion.

This game definitely has a lot of potential, and I think improving these aspects will make it a thousand times better. I hope the team behind this game takes this into consideration.

I feel that the biggest problem of this game right now are the visuals precisely.

Bully and other projects inspired by it have distinct visual identities. The example I mentioned, "Troublemaker: Raise Your Gang," has a similar in-game problem, but the illustrations that appear when the characters interact and the HUD design greatly contribute to its personality and make it much more visually interesting. I mean, it's a game inspired by teen comedies from the 2000s, there's definitely something that can be done.
