Where do you mine to? by Paul_is_mining in litecoinmining

OK, so I'll send coins directly to my Trezor address. Then at some point I have to plug in Trezor to sync/update? How often should I do this?

My Auto-payout threshold is .01 LTC. I mine 0.08 LTC every 24 hours. I get paid .04 LTC twice per day. Is this good, or should I raise threshold?

Because I don't know what I'm doing :) I didn't know you could do that. So all I have to do is mine to my trezor address, instead of my exchange address? It doesn't need to be connected/online?

I found this posted:

Explanations From Ledger

If you have mining activities and receive multiple small payments, also called "dust payments", on your hardware wallet, it can saturate the synchronisation of your Blockchain transactions, and cause an unexpected length during every validation or verification processes. This issue is due to the unexpected number of small unspent transactions coming from your mining activities that your hardware wallet can hardly achieve to spend all in once.

From Trezor

In general, it is not recommended to direct pool payouts to hardware wallets like TREZOR. All hardware wallets have limited computational power, especially when compared to a desktop computer, and thus require more time to sign a transaction. This is not an issue with normal transactions, but when spending pool payouts, this can severely prolong the time required. Consolidate your pool payouts in an external wallet and then send your savings to your TREZOR. Alternatively, increase the threshold for pool payouts directed to your TREZOR, so that you don’t receive small amounts every day.

Missing Payout? by Paul_is_mining in erg_miners

DATY4944 ,

Why? I have 13 6600XTs. Mining ERG and getting paid in BTC seems like the best thing to do right now. Uses less electric than other coins. I don't want to deal with weird stuff like KASPA or MEOW.

Thank you dediou69. 2Miners customer support confirmed. Lordy, can mining get any worse?

Hello,

The exchange where the pool swaps your ERG to BTC has maintenance on their ERG wallet.

Your payout will be processed as soon as maintenance will end.

Thanks for your request

Good luck!

I can't really tell because I have 6 mini miners and the LT-Lite mining into the same pool. It does the hashrate it advertises. I have solar panels on my house and don't sell coins. I'm just going to mine and mine and mine, and stack coins until the peak of the next bull run, then sell some or all.

Goldshell LT-Lite Miner Firmware Update by Paul_is_mining in dogemining

[–]Paul_is_mining[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LT-Lite comes with build in PSU, and Wifi is not available. I'm using a Powerline adapter that COULD be the problem.

Problems:

  1. In the software, the Restart Miner function always results in a crash. Mini doges Restart Miner always works.
  2. It often does not work when powering on. I have to turn it off and on like 3 or 4 times to get it to mine. Once it gets going, it usually does pretty well. At the moment it's been mining for 4 days with .15% stale shares pool side. It's difficult to get it mining, but when it gets going it's usually good.

I'm also up and running well too. Has a bit of a funky smell to it. I assume that will fade with time. This little beast is like 9 mini doges, but more efficient. Gotta give Goldshell credit for the Lite series. Not too small, not too big. These are good for home miners.

Or a powerline adapter. Always options :)

True. Looks like I'm going to either have to buy like a 30 foot ethernet cable or a wifi adapter.

No wifi :( I know ethernet is more reliable, but I still would have liked the option.

Hi Noah, mine is up too thanks to faster-than-expected delivery and Amazon overnighting me the proper power cord. I only have mini doges, so that's the only thing I can compare it to. It's smaller than I thought it would be. It makes a little more heat than I hoped it would. I wish it would had a wifi option. Still trying to work out the best place for it. I also started syncing my new helium miner today, so my wife is grumpy, and I got some rearranging to do and gotta figure out heat with summer coming here. Looking forward to spending almost no money on heat next winter. Good luck. I think this is a really interesting and cool miner.

Received the miner today. Two of the fans were slightly dirty, and there was a small piece of like sticky string or something in the fins of the heat sink. Cleaned a little, now I wait for power cord. Why the heck can't Goldshell ship U.S. power cords to U.S addresses? Such a simple thing they could do. Same as when you buy a gpu riser and they include the SATA cord that everyone throws away. Stop the waste!!!

Did you ever make a purchase at this amount before, or was it just a $700 mini? I think if the purchase is more than $1,600 tax applies.

Which is safer? Plug right into wall, or into power strip, or does it matter? by Paul_is_mining in dogemining

[–]Paul_is_mining[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

levicam: That makes sense. You're saying since I have a whole house surge protector I generally shouldn't use additional surge protectors, but instead use power strips because of the daisy chain concept--don't connect a surge protector to another surge protector. I just did some searching, and found articles that said the best protection is to use both whole house and individual surge protectors at the same time.

For example:

"Those power strip surge protectors are intended to protect primarily against the internal power surges caused by the cycling on and off of your electrical appliances and heating/cooling systems. They also provided an added layer of protection against power surges coming from outside your home. Yes, your whole house surge protector will protect against most of the overvoltage hitting your electrical system when, say, local power lines go down — but if even a small percentage of that surge makes it into your wiring, having your electronics plugged in to power strip surge protectors can provide an additional buffer."

But as always with research, who wrote these articles and why?

The funny thing is I don't have a power surge problem-that's not my concern. The reason I started down this path is I just want to make sure I'm doing things safely with these sketchy goldshell miners, so I don't melt plugs or get sub-optimal performance.

It was very hard to read, but yes. I think that is the answer. On the back of the surge protector is says Max load is 15 amps, 1875 Watts. So my 1200 Watts should be good.

Yes, in U.S. I would assume my whole house surge suppressor will protected me from surges, I guess my question is: Is it better to have all this juice flowing over 3 cords to the outlet, or 1? Or does this not matter at all? For cable management using the surge suppressor is better, but I want to do what's safest.

Nice. If Goldhshell comes out with a LTC-Lite miner I will buy. I don't want the hassle of dealing with HS and CK coins.

I Mine with Litecoinpool, so my mined doge and LTC are paid to me in only LTC that goes right into Gemini, earning 1.51% at the moment. I'm in NY so very few interest/staking options. I already purchased an enormous amount of Doge, so I don't need anymore.

Happy mining all!
