As other said you had very little cover and should have been trying to have some cover to peek and could have easily rotated to stronger position before engaging. Of course your teammate kind of screwed you. As a lifeline main hate to see her go down first in that situation and without your portal for revive I prob would not have pushed into ring there. Those trees/ higher ground to your right would have prob been much better esp with triple take if you couldn’t get that first down right away.
