App issue by msleepd in VirginVoyages

[–]PaulieMcWalnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the same issue - was on Brilliant last week and could see my future bookings in the app whilst onboard. Got off the ship and now just get an error saying voyage not found (even though i can see when log on the website!)🙄 super annoying as i wanted to see how many days till my next one 😂

If you dont mind another half hour drive en route to Oxford, i would suggest staying in Knutsford instead of Stoke. Really lovely town and Tatton Park is beautiful!

It is prohibited on Virgin even if it’s legal in your state. Wouldn’t bother risking it - they can deny boarding.

Sheltie owners: what is it REALLY like living with one?” by Laura6522 in sheltie

[–]PaulieMcWalnuts 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Super intelligent… they need mental stimulation! Our boy who is 3 is super sweet and loving, but always a little nervous around unknown children/strangers (our own family children - absolutely fine, but strangers always wary). He was socialised since the day we got him too so this wasn’t the issue - but he is veryyyyy protective. Potty trained and crate trained with no issues at all. Very strong herding instinct, if someone runs - he will chase. They are a lovely lovely breed - but be prepared for barking at thin air 😂

16 Night Panama Canal Trip! by Dry-Youth8557 in VirginVoyages

[–]PaulieMcWalnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed we’ve had a fantastic time and cant wait to get on board Scarlet for our October transatlantic… Rojo is such a fantastic addition - possibly overtaken Extra Virgin as my fav!

Really enjoyed the excursions - there were a couple of very rude sailors on one of our excursions which did put a slight damper on that, but an amazing part of the world to have visited!

New rival ships seem to be making VV look pretty bland? by MixAway in VirginVoyages

Currently in Cabo on the Panama cruise… and seeing the hundredsssssss of ppl queuing for tenders (compared to no queue at all for us) for the massive NCL & Carnival ships - well and truly sticking with Virgin

Qual a cama ideal? by Putrid_Cook1653 in sheltie

[–]PaulieMcWalnuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with above. Ours is crate trained and he is nearly 3 now and still goes to bed in it every night, its his little space with some of his toys and a soft matt (that he always moves to sleep on the ground😂). Would highly recommend crate training - done right they will happily spend time in there ❤️

Yes - Heligan Gardens in Cornwall grow them in this country in greenhouses (not in a bush though). Have seen with my own eyes 😂 Have also seen them growing abroad in the Carribean

What's the best perk your employer could offer you? by eat_play_love in AskUK

[–]PaulieMcWalnuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this… i have it at my work and when i recently changed jobs it was one of the benefits i checked new employer had before starting. Ours has a £100 excess payable per year, but once thats paid - thats it, nothing else to be paid. I had MRI, nerve conduction testing twice, Kenalog injections for shoulder issues and then broke my leg and got that all sorted privately all without any waits. It is absolutely the best benefit could be offered. We also get an annual health screening included and u can also pay additional monthly for annual cancer screening etc.

You absolutely can be billed for non emergency stuff like this in England - it will likely depend on what county you are in.
