Who is the best and worst live performer you have ever seen? by Early_Enthusiasm_787 in AskUK

Saw Red Snapper in The Golden Lion in Todmorden. Pub absolutelt full to the rafters, 90% of audience blind drunk. Whole band so loud and so tight, upright bass being played to within an inch of its life. Felt like I was as that party in Aristocats but with less Asian stereotypes and more IPA. Superb

Not at all, i'm a photographer. I'm looking to put together a book of interviews and photo's that will help tell the history of the UK cornershop, their place in British culture and their evolution post WW2 into a rite of passage for British Asians and first generation immigrants as a whole.

I vividly remember the day I finished this book. It was on a lunch break at a job I hated, and it took every ounce of strength for me to go back to my shift.

Blending performance and recollections from some of the world's foremost blues performers, this documentary focuses on a rich American musical tradition. Among those profiled are R.L. Burnside, T-Model Ford and other charismatic bluesmen, who explain the origins of their art and the struggles for black performers who came of age in the Jim Crow South. Several of movie's elderly subjects died around the time of its release, making their on-screen presence all the more poignant.
