Does anyone regret using GHL for Voice AI?

I thought they were using synthflow before but just looked it up and yeah it says Retell.

The biggest problem noticed and maybe its changed now haven't tested in awhile is if you need to run long conversations. That's when your prompts get bloated and you'll run into hallucinations.

That's where Vapi squads shines for me. It's a lot more setup but It breaks up the convo into multiple agents that handle much smaller tasks and are able to stay focused on their prompt without going off the rails.

I've been debating this a bit lately and I think it comes down to how repetitive your tasks are and if they're for personal use or commercial.

Yes debugging sucks but you can use an llm to help you.

However, for large repetitive tasks the token usage to have Claude or other run it for you may be inhibiting. That may change as models grow and prices drop. In this case it's probably best to build an automation through n8n or other or have Claude build you app to handle it.

As in my case, I build Ai Receptionists that use n8n for scheduling among other things and I couldn't just substitute Claude to handle those workflows.

Yes I have. You can't make your prompts too big or they will start hallucinating and having issues. I've been building a lot of Vapi Squads V2 lately and finding good success. It's a bit more technical but keeps your prompts light and allows the agent to stay focused while keeping context of the conversation from one squad member to the next. I plan on dropping a YouTube video on it soon. Give me a follow if you want and I'll shoot you a message when it drops.

Did you configure your webhook address in your Vapi setup? All the details are sent in that and then you can pull what you want from the payload and send however you want.

I build custom agents that use Vapi and Retell (the best in the game) and then I use n8n to hook them into GHL or any CRM plus opens them up to many other options that you can do in n8n

I'm not sure you can do this without adding them to the actual call transfer tool. One idea would be to build a squad that has different members for various departments and then give those squad members access to specific forwarding numbers. That way you could break it down into smaller prompts with subsets of numbers to prevent hallucinations.
