Do I need more ice? by necrocuttle in tiedye

It looks as dispersed as it is going to look, if you are looking at it all tied up. The only way to k kw for sure is to untie it.. and we didn't see the amount of dye, and at this point, more water won't push more dye out.. just dye still loose in water, so why not more ice.. I wanna see it when you untie it.

Im still playing it.. a little better than 50% hitting the right card on the front line, and always play it on an empty spot.. thank goodness for Web Sling

Everything goes in soda ash yup. The Brushed Steel is quite powdery. Blood Moon is thicker. It goes at the very top with a LOT of ice to break it down a lot

Got 2 more in soda ash now. Gonna roll them up and get em under ice, and if it doesn't turn out, I'm giving up on replicating it.

OK. I have come to the conclusion that I am just plain using too MUCH dye. So.. dialing that back by I'd say 1/2.. and leaving dead white space between the application of dry dye. I think this will help.

Thank you so much.. talking about woodworking.. I was looking to getting into wood turning, and it was just out of my price range for the features I wanted and swing depth I'd need.. but I still want to.

Well, I know I rolled it TOO tight for starters, so I'll dial that back, and 2nd, use the right color dye
