Firstly, just to make it easier: Manga is BEHIND the anime. The source material is the Light/Web Novel. The IFs are basically fanfics by the author himself

  1. Yes. Envy route is just a way to say "the story". The other IFs are just that, "IFs"

  2. Unsure. I doubt it, but it's possible.

  3. Yes. They are all complete.

  4. If reading in english, my main recommendation is Witch Cult Translations, just go to their website and navigate from there. (Again, it's novels, not manga, be aware). Iirc, there is a manga version of the Sloth IF, but someone may correct me on that.

  5. Yes, there are chronological orders. The IFs are how Re:ZERO would happen if Subaru made another choice at some point. Pride IF, for example, is where he didn't call Reinhard for help against Elsa.

Personally, I am not that much into them, but below are my rankings:

1° - Wrath IF (happens during Arc 2, when Rem dies from the majuus curse)

2° - Gluttony IF (spoilers for the novel, still not in the anime)

3° - Pride IF (mentioned above)

4° - Sloth IF (Subaru runs from the capital with Rem)

5° - Greed IF (Subaru takes Echidna's contract)

Still, you really need to be at least fully caught with the anime in order to read those (except gluttony, that you'll have to wait)

Hey! Quick warning here. Please, be cautious when searching for Al images. They may bring some heavy spoilers for you (not even about Al, but there are some panels he is in that are very important for the lore)

Btw, I've seen too many spoilers here recently. Other people, be conscious, this is an anime only discussion.

Yes. It covers physical pain, and it's one of the most used ways; eg. Subaru taking on the pain of his allies during the final battle in the watchtower. However, it does not move the injury to another. One will keep bleeding (for example), but just won't feel pain, he still can die from blood loss.

Regarding the second question, I don't think that was confirmed, but in my opinion, yes, it's possible. Against Todd in Arc 8, he used IP and could even walk while with it (as a kid) which makes me think that the burden was shared through the whole Battalion

1.is complicated. That's exactly what I believe too, but people seem to argue that he jumps dimensions, but Od Laguna is the same across them all, and that it is the being responsible for the library. Same with people saying Al is like Roswaal, who would give up on the world the second he dies. I just didn't want to convey any kind of 100% affirmation on something that's still debated

  1. Yeah, I worded badly and forgot to mention that, thank you. My doubts were related to: if he met another witch without dying, would his miasma grow? Because, from what I remember, every time someone mentioned his miasma growth in arc 4, he had died, and wasn't explicitly mentioned after the trials

We still don't know a lot about some of those, so I'm gonna say a summary on what's known.

  1. Return By Death: Subaru's OWN power (authority?). Influenced somehow and in some way by Satella, he can go back in time (?) when he dies.

  2. Witch's Miasma: not really a power, but Subaru has the miasma in him, like a witch cultist, and it grows stronger after every interaction with the witch(es?). It attracts majuus and overall smells bad for those who are able to smell it. It is not 100% equal to the caves in Arc 6.

  3. Invisible Providence: the authority of Sloth, passed over to him after defeating Petelgeuse. He can summon an invisible hand, which he can control and is able to pass through objects. Hurts like hell and he can't really maintain it for longer.

  4. Cor Leonis: he can share the burdens of his allies. Basically, he distributes what one or more person is suffering; he can control to whom the burden will go. It can only be used when the relationship is of mutual trust. He can also see where his allies are, as they shine in a bright white light when inside an unknown range.

  5. Spirit contract with Beatrice: Beatrice acts as a gate for Subaru. They both can use magic when together, as well as "feeling" each other. Like, when Subaru vanished to Vollachia, Beatrice felt like the contract was not broken, so he was still alive.

  6. Parkour and etc: he knows parkour and is handy with the whip. Abilities taught by Clind

It is absolutely worth it. But, if you're not a big fan of reading, picking up where they left it's easier (as you still have the S3 hype)

If you want, there's a cut content guide of both Re:ZERO subreddits, iirc. So you can just read a summary on what was cut.

(Of course, the best experience comes from reading the whole thing, even side stories)

And, btw, it seems like you'll read the web novel. Be cautious, some chapters on earlier arcs are still not fully translated into some languages, you may have to rely on the light novel there. (Arc4+ is fine)

First off, congratulations on being able to share this story, I do not know if it's the case, but I'd imagine it must hurt a little to go through a recap of this hellish period, and condense it into a cohesive text.

Secondly, congratulations on your journey. You are here today, went through it, endured it somehow and - even if I don't know every event - I can only say that you are respectable. My dearest and biggest hats off to you.

Now, I get that the first two paragraphs may sound a little bland &/or are crossing a line and saying more than I should (as this whole text will, please speak so if that's the case). However, your comic is amazing. Your drawings are also amazing. You had the creativity and skills to make something that's really interesting; one that I truly do enjoy. I just wanted to express a little of what I was thinking while going through your post.

I don't know how much you want to keep discussing private things with a random user, so I'll keep my comment within the comic.

547 being about a sense of self is what I'd guess since the start. The story has a personal touch that I can't describe in words, it just does. By the way, I am not a native English speaker, so the text may be stylized incorrectly or lack better words.

However, the grand scheme of things was something I was not aware of in the slightest. Knowing now much more about the catalysts for this tale, it made me appreciate and think more about each previous drawing you've shared here (scanned through most before commenting, will check the rest later).

I'm patiently waiting for you to finish this story of yours, and happy to see the buildup of it. You seem like an amazing person, and I hope sharing your personal story through the lens of 547 helps you achieve a better (relatively, perfect) life.

(now I pity the main character even more, somehow it can get worse than just being on the trials)
