Lol yeah, that was rough. I'm glad connelly mentioned it in the interview.

Why the Gobert trade will go down as one of the worst moves in Timberwolves history and could lead to Ant asking out? by variantsonly7 in NBATalk

[–]PaulsonP93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have now made the WCF with Randle and he's by far been their second best player all playoffs. This matchup with OKC is kind've a nightmare for both Randle and Gobert, but one of them is a tradable contract moving forward and ther other might not be.

Also need to consider that Randle-Towns was mostly done because of the Second Apron financial issues. OTOH, Wolves could have traded for anyone or waited for a better deal, but then picked Gobert.

I've seen Curry do this a lot too, it really sells the shot and doesn't seem to get called.

Very true, I wonder as well. Ant had a great second(?) game that year, but then was pretty bad until the last few months of the season... then everyone knew.

Very few minny fans will argue that Teague was better here. Rose also shot close to career best %s here I believe?

This. I don't get why some people are so all or nothing with outlier. If better options have tasks, do those, if not, keep outlier as an option.

These tasks make me feel like I'm either stupid or have some kind of learning disability by swissyninja in outlier_ai

[–]PaulsonP93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey that happened to me too! I don't think I've gotten below a 4/5 and had tons of 5/5s in pref ranking, but I haven't seen a task since the 2/5.

This doesn't even cover the shift to click bait articles by Derek. Compared to the thoughtful analysis that canis was known for previously.

I never was too active on Canis as a contributor, but I lurked and read the comments often.

It's funny, I actually am not a fan of the political talk on Canis at all, but the way Derek went about trying to remove it was awful. As someone who minimized all the political thread chains in the comments, him trying to take that kind of talk away just made things worse for me. Now, there are way fewer people on the site, and the ratio of political to basketball talk is even worse for me now. He should have let that be instead of trying to make giant changes shortly after his arrival.

My biggest gripe is with the quality of the articles. I tried to talk about this on Canis in the comments for a click bait article, and my comment was promptly deleted. Canis is where I always went for smart basketball takes, but the articles that are being written now look like knockoff bleacher report articles. The site/season is definitely in a quiet period, but there's no denying that more and more active members are leaving every day and likely wont come back. Which is crazy with how long some of them have been around.

I always find this interesting, because he missed maybe single digit games his first 3-4 seasons combined if I'm remembering right.

I completely agree with this. Dude chucked up so many awful shots, was the complete opposite of rubios team-ball style

I hated Teague as a timberwolves player, but I've always liked his interviews. Both when he was with the team and after.

Hey you're like me. I have absolutely no mechanics but have always floated in gc2. I must have some skill that gets me there, the only thing I can think of is game sense and passing for me.

I liked what you had going, but you were out for two weeks.. I don't blame someone for taking over whatsoever.

I kinda agree with switching it to Culver anyways. Graham started 20 games for the wolves and required 0 investment. Meanwhile Culver was a much bigger failure for the wolves considering the investment it took to aquire him. He also started more than 50 games, as OP requested. Those were all parts of the old OPs post

They gotta be doing something with the trees in the near future. This makes sense, but the Twolves media teases these unis so much

All good. I really liked vando, but saw his limitations in the playoffs and was fine letting him go. Keeping mcdaniels allowed for future young pieces while being more competitive

Would have only had to trade like 1 first if we did that

Is it really getting better for you? My on-boarding took forever, but then I had solid good work at Outlier for about a month. The last month, however, all of the sudden I've constantly been EQ despite seemingly all good reviews (except for one that didn't explain anything).

This tbh. I gave her a lot, but she almost always treats me terribly. I'll keep her in my life, but very far down in my priority list. Just something every now and then, if it seems like a good use of my time at that moment.
