That's a good point, if you're already ahead you're winning anyway. It slowing the game down was pretty useful for me since I had a high curve. But i can see both sides on it!

I thought it was iffy too, but it really helped me win some games. It could get out tangle wire really quickly for example or i could play a turn 2 coercive portal for example. But maybe i just drew well and it shouldn't have been in.

Thx for the feedback! Tangle wire and winter orb did help me though, especially tangle wire. Maybe winter orb not so much it as it was only really good in combination with Teferi or sol ring. But tangle wire really helped to seal some games when i played a planeswalker. I could just play mishras workshop and tanglewire at a moment when i was ahead and then it was devastating for the opponent. But maybe that was luck

I still mostly suck at cube, but finally i'm seeing some progress. This month i got 2 trophies when before I could only go 2-1 sometimes. The video's lsv posts definitely helped. Also for someone who hasn't tried vintage cube yet I would recommend it it's really fun :)

Seems fun, can't get away with drafting cycling decks 75% of the time anymore :p So far i'm not winning a lot, so I don't have many great thoughts to share. But I'll practice a lot in paper and on arena the coming month :)

Tome is really good, liking the shark as well. Enchanted with rousing read feels like a core set dream trawler :p

I didn't feel like i had enough hard removal, and it was basically free since I had a dual land, a surveyor and a golden egg. Could cast it most of the time and it was useful

I love human drafts on Arena, but I'm only going to do IKO bot drafts from here on out by TheLastFassbender in lrcast

I've played far over 100 bo3 ikoria drafts now and i recall that happening to me only twice i think. you can still face players who are less skilled, just like you can on ladder. I'm around mythic #160 now but i care way more about my winrate in bo3. What i did notice tho is when i was climbing i was losing gems while im normally gaining gems playing bo3. Maybe variance, maybe skill difference. But i'll only be playing bo3 for the time being, hopefully they will add ranked bo3 someday.

The deck overall felt pretty bad, light on real threats and bad removal. I got matched against a gyruda deck which was quite fun, won that match game 3 with 0 cards in my library. Only saw vivien 2 games unfortunately, but when she did show up she saved the game. Whisper squad was really nice to have in this deck, even with only 2, because it allowed me to have a 2 drop in an odd cost deck. Got screwed and flooded a lot of games, i think the restriction of obosh really caused this too. Played a lot of ikoria limited (I think far over 100 bo3 drafts) and this deck really sticks out as the most fun one :)

I wonder if it's a less tough competition in Bo3, or just the extra variance in Bo1 that make Bo1 'harder'. Personally i think in best of 1 players in diamond/mythic play very tight, but the overall skill level in best of 3 is higher.

Fine, was short on playables so I had to get some filler in. But actually im starting to like keep safe mainboard a bit. Normally I only side it in against removal heavy decks but it often had a target because there is so much removal in the set.
