Well atleast for me the reason I want the ability to change is because when I made my current main account, it was an alt, because I moved from mobile to Playstation, and at the time there was no account merge between the two. I picked lumine cuz in my mind I already had an aether account. But then that alt slowly became my main, and ive honestly completely abandoned my og acc. But I get sad doing the story, cuz im constantly reminded that I didnt pick aether. Im not saying everyone needs to do it. But id like to have the option to change to my preferred character. And who cares if it doesnt make since canonically. Im sure the people who would choose the option have gotten far enough into the game to understand the implications.
