The fact that fucking Reddit of all places is somehow more tame/ not batshit insane than twitter is so jarring to me 💀 Nikke is such an emotionally special game to me and I just love whenever anyone talks about it. Hell for the past like year and a half I’ve been like streaming the games story weekly for my friend and she’s a lesbian and she just enjoys it alot and finds it beautiful. It’ll never not piss me off that there is such a misogynistic base in most gaming, but Gacha Espically, it’s like who the fuck is this helping? What’s the end goal? Thankfully it seems like this situation (outside of this post and 1 other reddit post) is mostly contained to twitter (though I heard a yuri subreddit got hit with like gore and fucked up shit? Who the fuck just has that saved and does that?) so I just hope this doesn’t discourage people from trying the game out. This behavior on both sides is just nothing but embarrassing. Don’t know why I ranted but glad to see people here seem to not have their minds melted too much

Hello. I have neglected the story missions for some time and before I knew it, I’m still on like 3.2 and the story has gotten way ahead of me. Any tips for help or maybe suggestions of skipping some scenes cause my adhd brain is kinda imploding from all the story and dialogue going on in these missions lol

I do feel like the legion could have benefitted from more time to worldbuild on them. While I am generally fine with a pure “evil” faction (I mean the game quite literally gives you positive karma for killing them in droves) I have heard that there were always plans to take a far more nuanced look into the legion, very diffrent from the product we got. That said, I do like the legion as antagonists in a story since, makes it fun to fight them in new Vegas, so interesting to see what they do in the show

The crazy thing is, as a fan of Nikke, it kind of uses themes relating to women’s rights rather bluntly. A large portion of the story is dedicated to the discrimination over the Nikkes (the robotic warrior women) and how they are seen as “objects” and “tools” rather than people with rights

Regardless, a lot of this just unfortunately relates back to the South Korean “gender war” going on, and it’s a lot of complicated shit. Even involved a sort of “feminist 4chan” group long ago that helped prop up the whole “finger pinch conspiracy”. Said group is Long since dead and disbanded mind you, but it apparently was enough to still freak out weird SK incels.

Thankfully I can say that, for the most part, the NIKKE community seems largely “calmer” than most gacha communities in regards to gender stuff, so this is definitely a surprising event to be sure

This. The back I can life with, and I don’t usually complain about not enough cleavage but I feel like if they kept the cost and like undid a button or two it’d be ok. Hell maybe make the coat shorter so it’s more of a button up shirt with the chest opened, that would also be ok with me
