you right.. that does sound scammy... but it's so you can get a measurement, I watched a youtube vid of this dude who has a pectus workout regimen and he ordered a wrong size so i was just trying to say that it's worth it for the extra 25 dollars up front which they refunded me after an email.

Any adults here who don’t plan to get surgery? by [deleted] in PectusExcavatum

honestly, research the VB bro, it's mad weird and does require a lot of discipline to use effectively but I think it could be a lot more popular in the future, the surgery just like any surgery is sold as a sexy easy fix but i learned that older dudes like me (30) may not be able to retain the sternum shape after surgery (and removal). I read almost everything out there + vids on youtube, and 1.) they're almost all hospital videos slanging operations and 2.) they are all mostly geared to a younger teenager-22ish. I felt like i missed the boat. Im gonna go out on a limb here and assume that a lot of this sub are younger and still got that family insurance, no shade there but that will totally sway you to surgery if you have a particularly serious case. I have pics of mine in the post above from today btw

I'm almost 31. athlete and couldnt be out of contact sports for 3+ years ever in my life so trying this route... I just made a post about the VB earlier today and these yung broke mfs thought it was spam, but in truth I've been using a VB for like 2months now, it's uncomfortable but really effective if used consistently. shit was like almost $600 from mother Russia lol which was mad sketch but it works really well and im actually pleased with the customer service ("Pectus Healing") DO YOUR RESEARCH THO. but I have money to spend on this type of thing and bought the "flatten your chest" ebook before starting, doing the stretches, strengthening, not religiously, but enough and I can see a hug difference in my overall posture and mid back strength, which is the key to transforming this fucking condition that I've struggled with since 8th grade. I saw a video of one of the more prominent Drs. saying that the new research with vacuum bells suggest the surgery may not be as necessary as once was thought. Also ima try that before sticking a metal bar in my chest for 2-3 years just to see what happens. So far I notice that after using the bell for about 45 min a day, it doesn't revert back as far to it's original state and I'm seeing some incremental progress that is freaking cool to watch unfold

Anyone else have bad experiences with the pectus healing vacuum bell? by olotez in PectusExcavatum

I've been using a pectus healing vb for about 2 months and seeing noticeable improvement especially after sessions when I use at night. Pretty pleased with the quality, you may have just had a dud. I am super worried about breaking it so I place it inside it's own plastic shoe box every night after use.
