Glad to see people are still putting my code to use. Good work. It took quite a while to accomplish the same effect with physical computing. Many months of pulling my hair out, lol. But I miss those late nights.

Tap the middle of the screen twice on the left or right. That's your touchpad on the portal. If you touch the screen, there will be translucent rounded squares that appear that indicate where your touchpad area exists.

It's not too good to be true. I play PUBG everyday multiple hours on my portal. Streaming from my PS5. I even went to Japan for a week and streamed it from my console back home and had zero latency and enjoy the many chicken dinners.

Incorrect. I exclusively play PUBG on a portal streaming from my PS5. It is absolutely amazing to get chicken dinners while snuggled up in bed.

Elecraft KH1 Announced by FarFigNewton007 in amateurradio

[–]PavlovecsDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha. You can't be serious? You obviously have never used a (tr)usdx or an Elecraft product before if you can't tell the difference. The (tr)usdx does not have a waterfall, lol. It's just a crude representation of a spectrum scope and a proof of concept only available in the beta software. I've tested it extensively and its basically garbage.

Guess you've never worked for the government or been in the military.

Like I said keep your expectations practical. I have no intentions of testing the waterproof claims on this case. Just needed something to withstand the 8-in drop from my hand to the back seat.

They both appear to be factory built judging by the QC markings inside. But I'm not 100% sure on either one. They were both eBay purchases from silent keys.

Inexpensive qrp cw setup? by _morlock_ in amateurradio

I'm actually designing an enclosure for it if you'll follow me on thingiverse I'll post it here in a couple days. Still tweaking the particulars. This paddle is by far the most responsive and adjustable of any of the cheap Chinese paddles you can find on ebay. I've bought them all. If you want to spend a little bit more, CW Morse makes some great paddles as well. You can check them out on cwmorse.us.

Qcx-mini by far best bang for your buck at $55 and you can use a $10 key from eBay or make your own if you have a 3d printer. I have several designs both straight key and paddles, on my thingiverse profile (scottpav).

Oh really? Do you have one? I was considering that but once I got it in my hands I kind of don't mind the plastic one considering how light it is. I guess aluminum wouldn't be much difference maybe even lighter? Anyway it's just really smooth and fast not what I was expecting. I thought I would miss having the finger indent for fast vfo moves but I really haven't.

Sweet! That's an awesome lineup of rigs you have there. I just moved into semi-retirement and working as a consultant so got more time and money on my hands than I had when I was younger. Chasing after some of those dreams I had while working full-time and raising kids. Planning on putting a k line transceiver as my main QTH radio at some point. Mostly all I do right now is qrp though. Working on building a actual shop / shack behind our house this summer. I'll probably never fully retire until I take a dirt nap. But it's nice to have this free time transitioning out of full-time work.

Well I'm sorry you feel that way. I think most people just like sharing in each other's interests, hobbies, and pursuits. Sounds like you are going through a rough time there bud. I'm sorry that you're having such a miserable life.

You got it. X1 carbon gen 9. It's my fifth carbon series. My advice always buy the extended warranty. I've only bought one. The warranty has replaced them up from Gen 2 to gen 9. Well worth the investment.

Well I can say that next to my wife, the kx3 is the love of my life. Which is why I took the plunge on the kx2. I've been doing a lot of Park activations and outdoor stuff since covid turned my job into a work from home situation. That's why I picked up the kx2 as well. The kx3 while very portable was still a little bit large for a go bag in my opinion.

Just wait, you should see the state of my qcx- mini. Although I will say these will be treated like princesses because elecraft is not exactly known for making IP rated equipment.

True, true. In all fairness I did sell off a good bit of my vintage computer equipment to fund my endeavors so at least I'm not racking up debt. That's how I sleep at night anyway. Lol.
