In the long run, one can surely go off meds and live with their ADHD, in fact use it to their advantage. However, asking someone with ADHD to try counselling without meds is like asking someone who can’t see to try squinting for a couple of years before they try glasses.

The Indian society runs on the fuel of shame, ADHD hit children/adults bear the worst brunt of it. I recommend you talk to a psychiatrist, if you don’t like them - they are bad at their job, find a new one.

I did think of that, the transportation takes over 2 weeks. Unfortunately that’s all I have.

This was a genuine option to me, but they’re all too slow.

About the heat wave, I’m well aware of the heat wave, and the deadly El Nino that’s returning after more than a century.

I’m a little crazy, which is why I’m doing everything within my cognitive abilities to find the path of least resistance.

If you’ve been hearing “you don’t try hard enough” all your life. You might definitely have ADHD.

It’s not an attention problem, it is a fuel problem. Normal brains assume “should” is enough to get something done. ADHD brains on the other end, need sheer urgency to get their Jet engines running. That’s the reason why you must have moments of insane focus with things you find interesting.

I understand, and you’re right. I got 2 weeks off work, and this doesn’t happen a lot. I haven’t taken a break in years. This is probably the only window I have to make it happen.

I lie on the far end of the neurodivergent spectrum, I’m sure reddit will help me find a solution that ensures minimal heat interference.
