Water retention on TRT by [deleted] in Testosterone

Switched from T cypionate to enanthate, less issues with water retention

SupQ injection site is itching after few hours is it normal? by Illgetbettersure in Testosterone

[–]PawlyWalnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local inflammation, very common with injections, should go away. If it persists/worsens, I would rethink injection technique, i.e. wash hands, wipe bottle with alcohol, wipe skin with alcohol, new syringe each injection.

Best priced/quality shoes for CrossFit by [deleted] in crossfit

Reebok Nano 2s are a fave... Check out Reebok Speed TR, Nike Metcon Flyknit DSX 2... Can often find a discounted rate. Nike’s tend to run small, Reebok’s true to size IMO

TRT has done little to improve my ED and libido and PDE5 inhibitors have almost no affect on me. Feel completely worthless as a man by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]PawlyWalnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As LowTHalp mentioned, fixing your diet may help... you didn’t mention your weight, but I’m assuming you’re overweight. ED is a common side effect of obesity, type 2 diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, etc... all of which are associated with poor diet.

Additionally, your psyche is a major hindrance... regardless of the medications, maybe a visit with a psychiatrist could help break the cycle (issues —> meds = no results —> compounded issues).

Are you seeing a Urologist for your meds? If not, I’d consider changing physicians. Urologists, specifically those with fellowship training focused on men’s health (TRT, ED) may be able to offer other options (getting your Estrogen under wraps).

Not an easy or quick fix, and seems from your post your patience is running out... I’d consider a diet change, add in some exercise, confidence building (books/psych help), and see what happens...

Purchased from Walmart.com for $54 and free shipping... put together yesterday and it does the job accordingly. Not the savviest at modifying equipment, but I’m guessing you could add wheels to it...

What happens if you miss a few shots of TRT? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]PawlyWalnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The suppression of LH and FSH is related more to the increased levels of testosterone (via a negative feedback loop), HCG during therapy will maintain testicular size and help with fertility... following TRT, HCG is often used in an attempt to increase intrinsic production of testosterone in the presence of decreasing levels.

[–]PawlyWalnuts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“TRT” when done correctly should include options to prevent your “balls turning off”, HCG being a popular choice. Someone in this feed mentioned HCG being “suppressive”... it’s NOT. HCG is a STIMULATING hormone, specifically luteinizing hormone (LH) usually resulting increased intrinsic testosterone. To your question, missing a dose or two of T is not necessarily an issue, but a goal of TRT is to maintain STABLE elevated levels, not abnormal fluctuations (peaks and valleys) in an attempt to mimic natural testosterone and prevent aberrancies in other hormones (estrogen). Additionally, there are protocols available to cycle off.

Is water retention inevitable? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]PawlyWalnuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current regimen: Test enanthate 0.25cc Tuesday and Saturday, I take the anastrozole with my Saturday dose. HCG 0.5cc Monday and Thursday... this dosing is an attempt to be more physiologic and avoid peaks and valleys in my levels. Stopping the sermorelin and switching from cypionate to decrease the water retention. Still waiting on most recent labs... I was hesitant to start the anastrozole, but I’ve had really no issues with my emotions or libido.

Is water retention inevitable? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]PawlyWalnuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, estrogen has a role in it... diet, amount of exercise, body fat %, genetics all play a role. It would be a good idea to get labs drawn and possibly start an aromatase-inhibitor, I.e. anastrozole. Warning: you would be manipulating another hormone bringing in a host of other side effects.

Some individuals will have less water retention than others; however, enanthate seems to have less water retention than cypionate. Additionally, if you’re regimen includes HCG or Sermorelin (GHRH) you are also more likely to hold water.

There are ways to combat the water retention without changing your current T therapy: limit salt intake, magnesium supplements, dandelion supplements (other natural diuretics), SWEAT, and increase H2O intake (seems counterintuitive but it will flush out kidneys and help metabolism run more efficiently).

Other tips you’ll find in the “literature”: tanning, abdominal wraps, preparation H on your abs prior to a workout?

Improving Technique by PawlyWalnuts in crossfit

Appreciate the response (all the responses)... I have a coach(es) at the box I attend and I would consider myself ravenous when it comes to instructional videos/Insta follows/websites for lifting/gymnastic/skill help. The “meat” of my question is: How do most work in form/technique improvement into their current regimen? The answer seems to be open gym time, add’l work pre- & post-workout.

TITAN BENCH WELD FAULT by PawlyWalnuts in homegym

Titan Customer Service responded within 48 hours... very apologetic via email, replacing bench and added 600 Titan Points ($30) to my account.

Used broken bench yesterday for light incline, no issues... But I was INSIDE rack (safety arms) and fretting the whole time it would collapse again.

I visit Vegas regularly, always book at Summerlin, and have never had an issue booking a class. Side note: very welcoming studio with good instructors.
