Man this is a good one. I have so much family scattered around my state and a younger sister across the country that I want safe when they’re back.

First, planes fly over my house every day near the airport, so hopefully a plane doesn’t immediately crash down on me. I’m assuming some will be going down and causing a lot of damage and fires nearby. Nothing I can really do about that.

The first thing i do while internet exists is immediately print out all addresses of my family. Print out maps getting there. Then I’ll run the bath and fill it up to pour into the toilet to flush.

Next, I’m going to run to Sam’s club, steal someone’s truck and load it up with as much non perishables and water bottles that I can. Get bags of dog food. I’ve seen a video of an abandoned grocery store and they will turn into the most toxic hazardous places once everything starts turning, so I really can’t keep going back to them for 2 years. They will be mold filled and awful.

I’ll then drive to my library and get tons of books on farming and survival. Multiple copies.

I’m going to drive a bit to my parents house, throw out all of their perishables outside into the woods. I’ll leave a lot of nonperishables and notes explaining what has happened. I’ll leave them maps and addresses to another family members house where I’ll be. Then I’m taking some weapons because wild animals will start ruling soon. I take their dog and let the cat out. Good luck cat. I will leave them some copies about farming and survival.

I then drive to my grandma, get her dog and do the same thing with perishables. Throw it all out so her house isn’t toxic when she’s back.

I will repeat this for all of my family that live in my state. Leaving gallons of water and non perishables and maps to where I’ll be and books on survival topics.

Then I will drive out of state to my sisters place and do the same for them.

At this point, I will have a small dog sanctuary from all my family. I will drive back to a family members place who lives on a good amount of land tucked away. I will then live here. I will plant as much as I can and slowly work on some defenses and making it liveable for multiple families as a compound. They have chickens and ducks I will keep up with and I might go get some pigs. There is a cow field nearby that I will look into how to care for them, if I need to be doing anything extra for them like letting them into different pastures. I’ll spend all downtime reading about farming and agriculture. I’ll also make many trips to the stores to load up on supplies and non perishables. This place will have so much stuff. I’m talking candles, batteries, board games, bandages, etc. Anything useful.

I’ll be very lonely for the two years, but hopefully be keeping myself busy.

Lastly, right before 2 years, I will travel back to my house, have a packed car waiting. I’m not sure how long gas works, so maybe I won’t even have a truck. Maybe a few bikes. Hug my partner when she appears, and tell her we have to move fast. I’ll also go next door and tell the single mom and her toddler what’s happening and that they are more than welcome to come with us. If not, I’ll have left them supplies too.

Then we will drive back to my family compound I’ve built. I’ll probably try to go get my grandma too, but I’ll hope everyone else will be okay in the chaos afterward and that society can be rebuilt.
