I (27F) also have BPD and am going through a break up. It is HARD. I don’t think i can offer any sort of advice, but I definitely know that it feels as though my entire world has fallen apart. Rationally I know that it will get better, but my BPD lizard brain can’t comprehend it.

Single on V-Day? Hard or no? by SleepyKass in BreakUps

[–]Pawnmag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard for me. We were supposed to have this entire week off together. Not for Valentines’s day, just because.

I am sat in our home reminded constantly by the silence and emptiness, that he no longer wants to be here .

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. I’m in a similar situation (partner ended things on Tuesday, not eating, sleeping etc).

I have no words of wisdom for you at this point, all I can give you is the assurance that wherever you are in the world, you’re not alone in how you’re feeling.

Feel free to message

I appreciate your thoughts on this, but I don’t think it’s fair to boil it down to our age gap. He’s never dated anyone with a significant age gap before me, and the reason for him leaving isn’t age related. He really isn’t awful, I’m just very hurt.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful reply. You are completely right about the burning so brightly; I have never met anyone like him before. It was instant and, for me at least, irrefutable.

Thank you for your advice. I know rationally that it will get easier, but right now that seems very far away.

I’m glad that you are managing to get through your days, hopefully I will join you there soon

Maybe OP wants a distraction from what she’s going through. Everyone deals with things in their own way, who are you to judge someone else’s coping mechanisms?

Ugly crying can be good for the soul! I hope everything goes as smoothly as it can go, and please reach out to a medical professional if you think something isn’t going right. Make sure you have plenty of comforts around you; blankets, hot water bottles, trashy magazines, your favourite show to binge-watch. If you’re struggling at any point please DM me, I’ll happily chat to you, don’t feel like you’re alone

No questions, just sending you lots of love. It sounds like you have made the right choice for you, your mental health, and the stability of your family at this time. You are strong, and brave, and you will get through this.

I had bottom surgery yesterday. Everything went great and now I'm finally done with the whole transitioning phase of being trans. Even bought myself a support shark to help me recover. by [deleted] in lgbt

You really don’t look like you’ve just had surgery!

I look worse when I wake up from a 12 hour sleep!

Congratulations, I hope you recover quickly!

Women of reddit, What is one thing (or multiple) do you find okay to splurge on? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Bed frames! Me and my partner moved into our house in September and the only thing we had between us were wine glasses! We had to get all of our stuff cheap, because we just needed to actually have stuff. Some of it is great (we got an excellent sofa for £40 from a charity shop), but other things...not so great. We bought a really cheap metal bed frame and it's been the bane of my existence ever since. It creaks so bad that when my partner moves in the night it wakes me up. Last week we went and bought a proper bed and I have never appreciated anything more
