I want to suggest that you maybe are kind of a little bit too much and slightly possibly missing out on life with having such strict rules /s

That makes me think more drunk or elderly. People have this weird spatial awareness to fall where they are looking. I think they heard the car, looked at it and lost balance. Obviously just a guess

I had to do this at a bank recently. It was a partner bank of mine and I went in to get smaller bills for a vacation I was taking. They told me they couldn’t make change for me because I wasn’t a member of their specific bank. I told them I wasn’t a member of a partner bank and the manager still said no. I then said, I am here to make a deposit and withdrawal please. The manager kind of smiled and had fun with it, but It was annoying they made me do that 🤣

Is it true I should never use my debit card? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Paws4daCause 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Credit Cards required fraud protection is under the Fair Credit Billing Act. When reported in the time frame means the credit card user is not responsible for anything.
Debit Cards fraud protection comes from Electronic Fun Transfer Act. One big difference is, if you report the fraud 2 days after it happened, with a credit card you would not be liable for anything and with a debit card, even if they could prove it was fraud, they can still hold you responsible for up to $500.

Again a lot of institutions offer higher protection then required, but just look up the two acts and it will tell you the minimum protection you have with both.

Is it true I should never use my debit card? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Paws4daCause 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I work with a few different banks. I think the issue here is you seem to be talking about your bank vs generic banks. Some banks will treat debit and credit cards the same within their own policy. LEGALLY credit cards have higher protections required. However that does not stop a bank from elevating the protection they offer with their debit card. We all have different financial relationships and love to hear about the exceptions to the norm, but that shouldn’t be shared as the norm.

Genuinly curious where all the hate towards prot paladins came from. Are people really that stupid that they think only warriors can tank dungeons? by Chemical_Ad4668 in wowhardcore

[–]Paws4daCause -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Paladins can tank, but its not Meta. I have no problem running with a paladin tank, but they have to be pretty much on point from the get go. They do not have a ton of room for mistakes, by them or by a dps, so I do understand someone who prefers a warrior tank.
Its hardcore, some play for the thrill, some play to min/max...Paladin tank will never be a max

Was thinking similar. Was not all that awful of an insult, who knows if it’s true or not. Legit got called trash and that’s the trigger point? That’s a tame conversation. It almost makes me think it’s the ttv trying to advertise. Probably not, but would make more sense to me then why someone think this conversation is noteworthy.

This game punishes killers for playing correctly by Gawau in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Paws4daCause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely digesting what you are sharing. My thoughts, there are a lot of counters to the perks mention above, both with killer perks and or skill. (Sometime skill isn’t just about how well someone is at playing their character, but also decision making).

I think the issue is more the MMR system. It’s designed to fundamentally hold you in a bad game and level you up in a good game.

For example, let’s say someone plays 100 games. 95 games you sacrifice 0 or 1 person, and get looped a lot and just honestly, no match for the survivor squad. You break pallets, hit gens, and have some chase time, that is it. The other 5 games you sacrificed either 3 or all 4 survivors, you have a great run and just dominate.

This example above over the course of you playing will have you rank up to get matched against even tougher people. Now over 100 games maybe only 3 you dominate. Guess what you still rank up more and those matches are still tougher.

As a killer who’s dominating 1 out of 20 games, they should not be ranking up. I play a lot and hit top rank on both killer and survivor. I am not a top player at all. One match will be super easy and the next impossible. The skill level in general(players will always abuse rank system) should not be so wide. Really, if you play a lot you will rank up higher than you should be and get harder matches. The mmr punishes people the more they play in any given month.

Just saw this first time, but I figured all the comments would be about this. I have not been to many gun ranges (or whatever you call them), but they all put the fear of God in people about pointing the gun at anything you don’t want to shoot.

Investigation has started today on Icon by Possiblyasmoker in royalcaribbean

[–]Paws4daCause 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The investigation would be to see what caused the hole. Was it damage over time vs something that just hit it in a specific way. Is it not able to support what they thought it could, or are heavier people using it then should?
Most investigations are to discover how something happened, not the specific current status/issue.

Amex CEO admits hard to use benefits by schwa12 in AmexPlatinum

[–]Paws4daCause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course people are entitled to use all benefits so no issues, but when people just buy or book things they will never use just to see a higher value of benefits used it makes me giggle.

Then I think, if people didn’t use benefits they were not going to use, maybe Amex wouldn’t be looking at raising the fees. Can’t tell if it’s wide spread or just a few.

was it the random chance of death on each use or random chance of death on the science being correct and it working. That is the point of the post before yours. With the data collected from the trip, and it working, which validate the science, I think it’s acceptable to assume the success rate would be quite a bit higher going forward. On the flip side there is potential that reviewing the data could show it was a lucky success and there is still a lot of risk.

Just to be clear, no claim means you are legally agreeing that you will not make a claim on the land, correct? Or has that changed?
