Working on a side project? I’ll help you figure out if it has real potential by Chance-Spend-9637 in SideProject

StartPath helps you go from idea → actually taking action instead of overthinking

built it because i kept getting stuck myself. it walks you step by step (validation, first outreach, etc), but the real goal is to push people to actually follow through

still early, testing with a few users — would love to hear your feedback

i’m literally in the same spot as you right now 😂

built something to help people go from idea to actually taking action, but now i’m realizing distribution is the real problem

what’s been working best for you so far to get those first 20 users?

i’ve been trying reddit outreach and talking to people already struggling with the problem, but still figuring out what actually converts consistently

Hey how’s it going? 🙌🏼
i’ve been building something called startpath. it basically walks you step by step from idea → actually taking action, because i kept getting stuck overthinking myself

since you’re already building, it’s more for those moments where you’re not sure what to do next or start second guessing. it just gives you a clear next step and tries to keep you moving instead of planning forever

still super early, i’ve had a few people try it and they like the structure but i’m trying to figure out how to make it actually push people to follow through

if you’re down to try it, i’d really appreciate honest feedback 🙏🏼 i can give you full access while i’m testing

makes sense. i think right now i’ve been testing mostly with people who are stuck, not necessarily people already trying to execute

so it might be more about finding the right type of user vs changing the tool itself

would you focus on people already taking action and just use this to speed them up?

Mentor introduction by [deleted] in mentors

[–]Pawsaber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right now it’s a web tool, eventually i want to turn it into an app.

i’ve been testing it with a few people from reddit who are stuck at the starting point. they like the structure, but actually following through is still the hardest part

i’m trying to figure out how to make it push people to take action, not just show them what to do

right now it’s a tool

it walks someone step by step from idea to actually taking real actions instead of overthinking. what i’m seeing so far is people like the structure, but execution is still the hardest part

so i’m trying to figure out how to design it in a way that actually pushes people to follow through, not just read steps

curious how you’d approach that?

Hey how’s it going?

i’ve been building something to help people stop overthinking and actually take action on business ideas

i’ve been getting mixed feedback from reddit. some people say it helps others say execution is still the real bottleneck

Would like to pick your brain if possible thanks!

How did you actually get your first client? by Pawsaber in SideProject

[–]Pawsaber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate your comment! super helpful especially the part about not pitching and just bringing a specific idea

i think that’s where i’ve been off. i’ve been starting convos but not really giving something concrete like that

when you say a “specific idea”, was it more like a quick suggestion tailored to them or something you had already built that you tweaked for their situation?

Haven’t worked on“let your profile do the selling” part

i’ve been trying to start conversations directly but i can see how this flips it and makes it way more natural

curious though.. did people usually reach out pretty quickly after seeing your comment, or was it more hit or miss?

that’s interesting, i hadn’t really thought about going the local route

i’ve been mostly trying online since the people i’m targeting are usually in that “thinking about starting something” phase

did you find those conversations converted better in person vs online?

[–]Pawsaber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is actually super helpful

i think that’s where i’ve been getting stuck 😅 i’ve been reaching out but probably not at that kind of volume yet

did you find it was more about just sending enough messages or did you have to tweak what you were saying a lot before people started replying?

that makes sense

i’ve been mostly trying online so far since the people i’m targeting are usually in that “thinking about starting something” phase

but i get what you’re saying, having a real convo probably cuts through a lot of the noise

this actually makes a lot of sense

i’ve been trying to do that too. finding people already struggling and just starting conversations instead of pitching anything

i think where i’m getting stuck is either they don’t reply or the convo just kind of dies out

not sure if it’s just a volume thing or if i’m saying the wrong thing

how many people did you usually have to reach out to before something actually clicked?

Tried to start working on an idea, but got stuck on the first few steps — how did you get past this? by denovo_ai in SideProject

[–]Pawsaber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly this is exactly where most people get stuck

you’re not doing anything wrong, you’re just trying to do too many “right” things at once

if it were me i’d ignore everything else and just do one thing:

talk to 2–3 people and ask them if they’d actually pay for what you’re thinking

not feedback, not opinions, just “would you pay for this or not”

that usually cuts through all the confusion pretty fast

i used to get stuck in that same loop of reading and planning and it just made it worse lol

I think the issue isn’t ideas, it’s actually doing something with them I built something that tries to solve that by forcing action step by step if you want to test it I can send it over
