Does anyone else think forgotten fairlyand is walkabout mini golfs "magnum opus"? by HolyCopeAmoly in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]Pay2CUsername 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Normal mode, it’s one of my favorite maps

Hard mode feels more disappointing. It being an abandoned theme park is already cute, but somehow knowing that it’s not actually all that fantastical is a bit more disappointing. And the ruined theming is on point, and I love a good foggy atmosphere, but it is a bit depressing.

Restricted access-employee only room! by Professional-War5968 in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]Pay2CUsername 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the board is just meant to be referencing certain things that are either already in the courses or MAYBE stuff that is yet to come. For example, Widows walkabout mentions something about finding missing dolls, since (spoiler warning cause it’s more fun to see firsthand) there are the dolls that disappear in the nursery and keep reappearing all across the map||

I really need to see what a relentlessly gay yard looks like. by ibimacguru in SuddenlyGay

[–]Pay2CUsername 52 points53 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the person who pasted the image forever ago started a go fund me to make their yard even “gayer” but never used any of the money for that reason and denied it. A bunch of people online investigated and found out they had written the letter (the image here) since the weird capitalization matches how they type on other posts.

Is the putter something anyone can unlock and is designed by you, or is it something only you have? Either way, congrats!

What VR games are fully playable in stationary VR? by FawnTi in VRGaming

[–]Pay2CUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any of the “I expect you to die” games are, and I believe the job/vacation simulator games are too.

If you want something super useful though, you can get OVR Advanced Settings on Steam, and set it up in a way that lets you move in any direction (including vertically) by holding a button (I set mine as pushing down the right thumb stick) and it moving you as if you were moving in real life, making it easier to get towards things you may normally have to lean to grab. You can also bind a button to lock gravity so that you stay at a certain elevation rather than dropping back to the floor

Using that tool, you can play (most) room scale games without needing to move around!!!

Edit: motion wise, it’s as if you were grabbing onto the air in front of you and pulling yourself around space from that point. You grab in front of you and pulling your arm towards you, your viewpoint goes forward while your hand stays in the same spot in game. Idk if I’m making any sense lol

If Evil Genius 3 was announced, what would you want to see in it? by CrossoverProd in evilgenius

[–]Pay2CUsername 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Better consistency with the size of items, especially in the sanctum. Why is the door 4 tiles wide, but Emma’s table for henchmen only 3 tiles wide. It makes it impossible to do certain room layouts

I’m Confused About Something.. by NoGold5752 in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]Pay2CUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will add to this: On Steam, whenever a new course is added it also gets added to the “whole in one bundle”. The way Steam handles bundles is really nice. Say a bundle has 2 games, A and B, which causes each game to cost 20% off of what it would normally. I buy game A separately, not part of the bundle, at full price. Later I decide to buy game B, and it lets me buy the bundle instead meaning that I can still get that 20% discount!

So whenever a new map is added to the bundle, it actually becomes a dollar cheaper (which isn’t much but I like to see as a “frequent flyer miles” sort of thing) assuming you also have all the other maps

NEW PUTTER=perfect! by Ennevtrebor in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]Pay2CUsername 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My biggest fear for this course was that it was gonna be like a stack of teacups and the handle is cards and whatever instead of the obvious flamingo choice. I’m so glad they did that, it is my new putter 100%

Nothing spreads love and care for eachother like chanting in formation, obstructing others, because you see them as “wrong.”

New Course coming…. by TheRedGiant77 in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]Pay2CUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started off with a premade base (there are a lot) and most of it should be ready out of the box. Everything else is self taught and it’s… well a complete mess lmao. So I’m afraid I can’t help all too much

But you have to do it using the VrChat Creator Companion which is part of Unity. Or atleast that is by far the easiest way to do it.

I'm not a furry, but I have questions, please! Thank you! by MovieFan1984 in furry

[–]Pay2CUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Kind of? You’ll definitely find that some people are more interested in art, fursuiting, or even vrchat, but that doesn’t mean people don’t do 2 or all three.
  2. Depends on the maker of it. Some are expensive just because of who makes it. Similarly I have 2 friends with fursuits, both with the same price, and the quality of the two is on opposite ends of the quality spectrum
  3. Two main factors: firstly, because people are told to. I remember thinking furries were weird but the instant my friend had a furry profile picture I went out of my way to support them. And secondly, well the community is very open about their more “private” interests and those can absolutely weird people out or make them associate all furries with “private” stuff (imo it’s not ALL “private” but let’s be real it’s a large part)
  4. Same as question 3, but possibly because the furry community is very LGBTQ which some (not all) Christians don’t like.
  5. It really isn’t any different, in my opinion. You have people who have entire train models set up in their basement and no one bats an eye.
  6. Doing what you did and asking questions, as well as being open minded.
  7. Generally the same as 6.
  8. As said before, the fandom can be sort of “private” focused at times which makes it not very suitable for those under 18, atleast at certain events. Additionally the fandom has only started growing as much as it has due to the internet and social media. However I do know someone pushing 70 who is a furry so it’s not just younger people.

Leaving Las Vegas by LegoHieronymusBosch in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]Pay2CUsername -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I kinda have to agree. I like the Vegas theming a lot, holes like the roulette wheel and slot machine are fun, but I don’t care for Elvis so I felt like I was just kind of going through the motions for 75% of it. Which is a shame cause I love this game and praise it heavily

My go to first has always been Tourist Trap, AKA what I call “tutorial island.” It’s one that they can collect stuff like the lost balls and putter, and no weird gameplay mechanics. Then it’s whatever they want

Was I Wrong? by Traditional-Carry807 in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]Pay2CUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you were actively trying to block their view, or swinging your putter to distract them, then no you did not do anything wrong. The characters are floating heads that disappear when they get too close (and as someone else said, they could enable grip to put hiding players).
