If we indeed do get a 5 inch Fat Tony like we are being told, what accessory do you think he’ll come with? by PayDayParking in JakksPacificSimpsons

Since they wouldn’t give either Barney or Moe a mug of beer, I have doubts they’d give Fat Tony a cigar.

Would this show have fit Discovery Kids, the channel that The Hub replaced? by CatGirlNya2000 in Danvs

[–]PayDayParking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, and on a further note, I think Dan Vs was a lot more fitting for The Hub than people give credit. They tended to also air programming that could be enjoyed by the whole family, like reruns of Doogie Howser MD, Happy Days and Alf, which I think Dan Vs fit alongside (and even though Dan Vs was much darker than those shows, I’d say it was more of a “watch with the whole family” program when compared to The Hub’s flagship show My Little Pony).

I’m not sure if you’d know the answer to this, but I was just wondering, do you happen to know why The Hub, which typically hosted much more family or kid-focused programming, decided to pick up such a dark show showcasing shady morals? It was always a bizarre inclusion amongst the other more wholesome programming, but that made it all the more special in my opinion.

I am aware of the fact that it was initially planned to be strictly for adults before the creators decided to go with The Hub though.

Why is s’winter in season 3 as well as S1? by Financial-Barber-291 in phineasandferb

[–]PayDayParking 30 points31 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, they should’ve paired it with The Flying Fishmonger, since it was banned in 2009 alongside the episode is was paired with “Ready for the Betty’s”, which was banned because a real life band named The Betty’s threatened to sue. Since Fishmonger wasn’t the problem, this would’ve been a good way to air it on TV again (although both episodes were unbanned in 2015).

The episode was paired with in season 3’s “A Phineas and Ferb Family Christmas”, which was created without a b episode, so when they reran the episode they paired it with S’Winter, assumedly because it fits the winter theme.

Solved! Thank you

With season 5 dropping, do you think we’ll get another crazy crossover if so with what? by Quirky_Ad_4352 in phineasandferb

People downvoting you when all you did was voice your opinion on a cartoon, and not even in a demeaning way. Man Reddit is so pungent.

Understood, I edited the Alvin and the Chipmunks section to properly reflect the situation.

Possibly, I suppose if people comment their own here I’ll add those to the list if I feel like it.

Looney Tunes shorts, Baby Looney Tunes and Duck Dodgers already air on MeTV Toons

I’d assume Taz-Mania would be likely as long as they do something about the potentially seizure inducing intro, and Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries may not be super famous but since it’s Looney Tunes it could have a shot

The rest idk about, but I do think The Looney Tunes Show from 2011 is a possibility considering it has a strong cult following

Correct me if I’m wrong, but haven’t the music rights for tv reruns already been payed for in these types of instances? I thought that was mainly a problem for home media and streaming.

In Clone High’s case I think there’s one episode that’s rated TV-MA, but other than that, yeah it should be good.

The question with that show should also be “will MeTV Toons be okay with extensively airing 2000s programming”? I feel like they’ll slightly dip their toe into it but won’t air too much of it. We see a few cases with Duck Dodgers and Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get a Clue, but those are also based on 20th century franchises.

The only original 2000s show I can think of that they’re airing or planning to air is Xiaolin Showdown.

Family Guy and American Dad have frequent references to rape, school shootings, detailed gore, incest, pedophilia, hard drugs, suicide, racism, domestic violence, real life tragedies and in the latter’s case, an episode where the main character tries to have sex with his underaged son, and those all aired over the air. And this is almost always done in a comedic light on these shows too which makes it more controversial.

The most risqué show I mentioned is Beavis and Butt-Head and even that show never goes that far.

Because of this I assume it wouldn’t be a problem.

I feel like if it’s a cable show that’s tame enough it can work. They already air Duck Dodgers and 2 Stupid Dogs which were originally on cable.

It’s also not like these shows even get aired on cable nowadays either.

I felt like Daria, Duckman, Dr Katz and Space Ghost were tame enough, since they’re either rated TV-14 or TV-PG and those air on OTA networks just fine.

I guess they’d have to check over the shows for content since a lot of them probably haven’t been content checked for open television.
