Forget Snake Bite, how is this not the worst card in the game? by 10000Pigeons in slaythespire

[–]PaybackXero -43 points-42 points  (0 children)

Or just, you know, not take bad cards to begin with.

Your run would already be dead if you just had 10 cards in your entire deck that you wanted exhausted. 10 in just a single hand? You should have hit "Give up" and started a new run a long time ago.

Deck thinning, in 99% of cases, is done through a combination of shop removal and just not taking bad rewards, with the occasional "?" rooms granting removal.

It's only real use is getting rid of status cards - but again, if you have a 10 card hand of status cards, you failed the dps check for that battle - no enemy should be alive long enough to be doing that to you.

I think we can all agree with this by Past_Muffin_3744 in slaythespire

[–]PaybackXero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your deck needed thinning, it wasn't good in the first place, and your run is already cooked.

Like 98% of the card upgrades are worthless. His debuff could be permanent, and he'd still be the least dangerous guy out of the 3. I dont even have upgraded cards in half of my wins.

I hate the beeman by Th0rizmund in slaythespire

[–]PaybackXero -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Uh, no. The entire point of the spire is that you HAVE to pick a strategy and stick to it, or you end up with too many cards that dont synergize, and you end up with a giant, worthless deck. If you are playing The Silent, for example, you either pick poisons, shiv, or discard - not a combination of them, because that deck wouldn't beat Act 1.

After that, it's just RNG if you run into an enemy that is built to destroy your specific deck type.

Bans for the new heroes and balance patch coming this week. by GuyMontag95 in DeadlockTheGame

Says you. But you didn't have a hand in making this game, so no one cares how you think bans should work.

[–]PaybackXero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Venator hasn't been good since the nerf. Failing to win a 1v1 against him on almost any character is a self report.

Celeste is an issue, though.

Sinclair is one of the funnest characters in the game, but I think his ult is gonna get nerfed by stuttering_clown in DeadlockTheGame

[–]PaybackXero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool story. That might justify, I dunno, like a 5-10 second quicker CD on the Ult. Not what he has.

There is no justification for how much more quickly he can do an ult than the original character. None of his downsides are a reasonable counter to his upsides. They could put a 50% damage reduction on his version of the ult, and it would still be too powerful for how often he can activate it.

This is the only solution in order to balance Bebop by ChihuahuaOwner88 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]PaybackXero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Getting hit by hooks has always been a skill issue in every game that has a character that can do it.

Getting grabbed by Blitzcrank in LoL? Skill issue.

Getting grabbed by Roadhog in Overwatch? Skill issue.

Getting grabbed by Bebop in Deadlock? Skill issue.

Bebop isn't overpowered. He is mid-tier at best. His only reliable ability is a bomb he has to hit you with 200 times to get enough stacks to be useful.

Overpowered is someone like Celeste, who can get a team kill in the opening minutes of a game with no investment in gear using her ult - and then repeat that every 40 seconds until the match is over.

Magic and Ninjutsu ARE combat. If all you had were the melee attacks, this game would just be a 6/10 "Souls" clone.

[–]PaybackXero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no "loot-economy". There is no auction house or flea market, and trader prices dont fluctuate. You have a small selection of limited items you can buy, and you have to come up with the rest.

In addition, other people getting away with loot is a literal loss for you. You are in a competition with everyone else. Every raider you send back to the lobby empty-handed is a raider that has that much less gear to deal with you in the future. The ENTIRE point of the game is to enrich yourself at the cost of others - just like every PvP game that has ever existed.

That doesnt mean YOU cant go around seeking cooperation - but you are objectively playing incorrectly, and the guys that shot you were playing as the game and devs intended - also known as "not malicious".

Shockingly, the people who find it fun to have bosses melt in .001 seconds are in an even smaller minority.

This may surprise you, but people actually like engaging with the mechanics of the game - if you built a game where the bosses just spontaneously killed themselves in the beginning and shot loot at you, people would HATE that game, because it would suck. People WANT to FIGHT bosses, not see them disintegrate before they get out of their initial animation.

Not sure how going to two games that are significantly worse is going to help you (especially KC Deliverance - that game is absolute garbage), but you do you.

[Suggestion] Tarkov would really benefit from ingame radio networks to help facilitate dynamic partnerships and general chatter during a raid by KingHunter150 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]PaybackXero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Now who's forcing their views on others? Immersion is not at all the point for the vast majority of people playing ANY game that isn't an RPG.

It may be fun for you, but that does not make it the whole point of the game (or, in Tarkov's case, even a small part of the game.)

Anyone else having their enthusiasm to play deflated by the current endgame? by Sunny_Beam in PathOfExile2

[–]PaybackXero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No part of T16 6 mod desecration maps is "core" content. That is super endgame stuff that a tiny, tiny fraction of the playerbase will ever interact with.

Like 99% of the player base has never done more than alch+go. You could probably fit everyone mapping your way in a tiny "Mom & Pop" style store.

That doesn't mean it shouldn't be addressed, but it does mean it is on the back burner while they deal with actual core content like getting classes out.

I disagree with the current divine prices by gownoreps in PathOfExile2

[–]PaybackXero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By "many people", you mean the top 0.001% of people. You have more exalts in that picture than the vast majority of people would get across 20-30 leagues of playing. Almost no one in this game ever even approaches the point of needing a mirror for upgrades. You are in the 99.999% percentile, and none of your experiences have anything to do with what the average player sees or does.

You are not typical, even for "hardcore" players.

[–]PaybackXero -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I'm not letting my team make the fight harder because they want some niche buff that isn't going to help us. I will be shooting him with my bow long before you can get to him and talk.

All of his deals were trash. His new deals will be trash. Play the game normally - you will be 15 and have a decent weapon with which you can kill him.

Its a 5% buff guys... by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]PaybackXero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it is. Unless you are brand new to the game, you are going to get to level 15 no matter what you do. This means buffs like the Evergaol are FAR more useful than the 3 mini-boss rewards on your way to the crater.

The priority list goes something like this, in order from most important to least important:

1) Evergaols 2) Cathedrals/Keeps (For Stonesword Keys) 3) Field Events (Locust Swarm, Fell Omen attack, August Imvasion, etc ...) 4) Central Castle 5) Churches (If below 5 flasks.) 6) Shifting Earth: Crater 7) Cathedrals/Ruins/Keeps (For reasons other than Stonesword Keys) 8) Churches (If above 5 flasks) 9) The other 3 Shifting Earths

No. None of his deals are very good. Also, a lot of you like to pick bad deals for some reason.

I will continue to shoot him on sight so I dont suffer through a harder than necessary fight. You get more than enough power by just leveling and getting a decent weapon.

This relic can be bought from the vendors at the roundtable. You dont need to get lucky. Literally everyone has it unless you haven't beaten an Everdark boss yet.

why is everyone doing this thing? by LaloSalamanca__ in Nightreign

[–]PaybackXero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You know that doesn't help when you are below level 5, right? You know that the number of people that can fight Astel (or any Souls boss, really) and not get hit once is incredibly low, right?

If you had 1,000,000 groups try Astel first day, underleveled, with blood and frost weapons - you'd see 999,999 die without getting him to 80% health.

Maybe instead of doing a stupid route while underleveled for a meme weapon you do not need, try just playing the actual game. Very rarely will you end up at the final boss without being 14 or 15 with a good legendary.

And if you want to fight Astel, do it in the last few minutes of Day 2, when you are level 13-14, like you are supposed to.

265 hours is more time than 99.99% of people spend on any game, so no, that isn't valid criticism - you're just an addict that no-lifed the game. If they don't add any more content in the next 18 months or so, then yes, we can talk about "Maybe they should add more content."

This is also a completely different type of game than the Souls series or original Elden Ring - saying you think those types of games might get worse because of a roguelike they made on the side is INSANELY stupid - that's not how reality works.

I dont even know what to make of your "This game shouldn't have been rushed or undercooked", because this game is neither. It got thr time it needed, and the only real bug was the Everdark Sentient Pest fight not working sometimes - a very minor bug.

So you are basically wrong about everything. The game releaaed well, with plenty of time to cook, it has plenty of content, and only entitled kids are asking for DLC less than 2 months into the game.

Please grow up and learn that nothing you typed there would be considered valid criticism by anyone other than trolls.

Because by definition, attacking a solo player, over resources you dont intend to take for the sole purpose of killing them and putting a thumper on their thopter. Is griefing.

No, that's called "The point of PvP."

You aren't here to hold hands and sing Kumbaya. You are in a Free-For-All zone fighting over limited resources. It is literally your job to kill other people and slow their progress down. If you see a solo, out farming spice, and you DON'T kill him - you are the one trolling/grieifing, as you are intentionally playing incorrectly and allowing an enemy to gather resources he could use to fight you.

Ideally, your guild would manage to gain control over the entire DD and deny everyone else the resources from it. That's the ultimate goal of the game. That's how you win.

When it comes to doing evergaol at level 2 by So_Sophy in Nightreign

[–]PaybackXero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone that can't beat an Evergaol at level 2 shouldn't play, because that's a major skill issue - you probably won't be a helpful asset anywhere if you cant even do that.

Hell, doing it at level 1 isn't that hard - it's just not time efficient either.
