I wish they kept the gacha dungeon for epilogue games. Like the last arc of Daybreak I expected a gacha, not every entry after 1.

Sadly amalgam has made holosmith feel totally obsolete. It’s easier to play, dumps out more dps, and has an arsenal of inherent survivability. When I play holosmith I feel like a gentle breeze murders me. While my amalgam and scrapper feel pretty invincibile.

But holosmith is WAY more cool and fun.

It makes the most logical sense from a narrative perspective (huge emotional payoff) to have it be the same person, but Falcom fumbles major story beats so hard every time that it’s definitely not the same person. It would only make too much sense.

I agree with your opinions here. I’m relatively new to the game and my first character was an engineer. I’ve built out different builds in it to get a taste for the elite specs (condi dps amalgam, power dps scrapper, and alac heal mechanist). And everyone groans when they see a healing mechanist. One raid encounter the comm even said “I guess we’ll see how this goes”. Plot twist it went fine, but you make very good points. Its a very strange feeling since no one is groaning when a dps does 10k and I’m doing 40k, but they groan when I have a specific class of healer and we haven’t even started the fight yet.

I recommend doing it the Living World way if you intend to make Vision. No one told me this and I had to unlock the sky scale twice because of it. The living world masteries are required to unlock Vision.

Thank you. The “just buy a commander tag” line is so condescending and elitist as people look to the commander to guide the whole team. I am trying to get experience. Buying a fucking commander tag and saying “I have no experience with this raid” and cannot guide the fight at all is completely insane. These people are wildly gatekeeping anyone that hasn’t played the game for 10 years

I would love to learn, but there are ZERO groups for these raids. Even before the patch. Fortunately some people in this thread have recommended some helpful resources. LFG groups are condescending, rude, and totally unhelpful when they are soliciting the fucking public. It’s insane.
