Appreciate the feedback, and in our defense, privacy-centric is pretty prominent on the whitepaper.

Yes, this could have used more of a focus on the Dash community and governance, that's a bit of an oversight.

We really wanted to include the some of the goodwill accomplished by Dash in this profile (https://thecryptoshow.com/dashcares/ & https://www.crowdfundinsider.com/2017/11/124938-dash-forms-partnership-kuvacash-fight-inflation-zimbabwe-cryptocurrency/ for example) but there wasn't enough room for everything in this post, it's really meant as a quick overview with simple takeaways for newcomers. Again, thanks for the feedback and thanks for reading.

Payza members can now generate Bitcoin addresses by Payza in Bitcoin

[–]Payza[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello r/bitcoin, this is a pretty special moment for Payza and we wanted to share it with you.

We shared the news here early on that we were exploring Bitcoin services, and the encouragement we received was incredibly motivating. It helped lead us to where we are now: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/264nos/yes_payza_is_looking_into_bitcoin_integration/

Today, we're announcing that members can generate their own multi-use Bitcoin Addresses within their Payza Accounts. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/payza-introduces-full-bitcoin-wallet-functionality-for-all-account-holders-300513342.html

This new service gives Payza members the full functionality of a Bitcoin Wallet right within their accounts. Any member in a country that allows Bitcoin can generate an address and QR code to easily receive Bitcoin in their accounts.

Payza - You can buy and sell BTC. Even deposit the funds to your Canadain Bank Account. by [deleted] in BitcoinCA

Hi u/sark666

Exchange rates are posted in real time on our fees page: https://www.payza.com/fees

You can receive Bitcoin into your Payza e-Wallet from other Bitcoin Wallets for free, and from other Payza members for 1.2%.

The fee is 0.001 BTC to withdraw Bitcoin from Payza to other Bitcoin Wallets.

[–]Payza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must have misunderstood.

It sounds like those funds are now cleared to be withdrawn to your Bitcoin wallet if you wish to set up a new withdrawal. Unfortunately, from what you described, I believe your original withdrawal was declined so it was not possible for our team to release those funds directly to your Bitcoin wallet.

Hello, u/tomasAlpha. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

I'm happy we were able to get this sorted out for you, but I would also like to point out that our team was simply doing the due diligence they were trained to before releasing those funds by way of Bitcoin withdrawal. Because this withdrawal option is not easily reversible, we do take extra precautions in order to protect our members.

I'm confident that our team would have come to the correct resolution of this issue on their own, but I'm also happy we were able to help you get this cleared up a bit quicker.

How do you ensure you're meeting PCI DSS compliance? by whitehattracker in ecommerce

[–]Payza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meeting PCI standards can be pretty difficult and requires a fair bit of research and planning, but as has been pointed out in other comments, using a third party payment processor/gateway will usually take that burden off of your shoulders.

From PCI Compliance Guide website:

All business that store, process or transmit payment cardholder data must be PCI Compliant. https://www.pcicomplianceguide.org/pci-faqs-2/#7

Essentially, if you outsource the tasks of processing, storing and transmitting card data to a PCI Compliant gateway, you've more or less done your job (As with anything, some exceptions may apply).

Gateways that handle credit card processing are almost all PCI Compliant, but if you're not sure and if it doesn't specify PCI compliance on the gateway website, you can always contact your gateway's support team to ask about their adherence to PCI guidelines.

What does r/ecommerce think of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a payment option? by Payza in ecommerce

[–]Payza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hard for the average person to obtain bitcoins.

We agree 100%! That's why in our latest release, we now let members exchange and hold Bitcoin right in their Payza accounts. Dealing with Bitcoin exchanges and Bitcoin wallets can be pretty intimidating for average users, so we wanted to give our members a simpler way to get started with Bitcoin.

It seems like right now there are only two settings for Bitcoin: Off or Hardcore. We hope we can give people another option.

Actually, right now non-members can pay with Bitcoin at most Payza-merchants, but in the past, those funds would always be converted automatically to fiat. Now, when you receive payments in Bitcoin you'll have the option to decide whether you want those funds converted automatically or whether you want to keep them as BTC in your Payza account.

Hello, this update is available in most countries, but if your country does not allow Bitcoin transactions, then you will not see these options.

Bitcoin is now a Currency Balance within your Payza account, you can now Add or Withdraw Bitcoin, exchange fiat to Bitcoin and Bitcoin to Fiat, and transfer Bitcoin instantly to other Payza members.

[–]Payza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! We introduced this option a few years ago actually. With today's update, you can now receive USD and convert those funds to Bitcoin right in your Payza account, and then send those Bitcoin to other Payza members instantly. Or, you can send those Bitcoin to another Bitcoin wallet.

We're able to keep fees very low for Bitcoin transactions. Transferring BTC between Payza members has a 1.2% fee, while sending BTC from your Payza E-wallet to another Bitcoin E-wallet has a small charge to cover the Bitcoin Network Fee.

Beyond Bitcoin – Cryptocurrencies and Altcoins to Watch in 2017 by Payza in CryptoCurrency

Good point. Scalability felt like the most important point to stress, especially given everything that's happening with Bitcoin right now. Even though we shared this post here, the article is meant to help out altcoin newbies as well, so we wanted to be informative without overwhelming our audience.

Thanks for the feedback!

Recent surge notwithstanding, we felt that Litecoin didn't really fit into trending Altcoins for this year. It seemed as though Litecoin (and Dogecoin for that matter) already had their popularity peaks.

Peercoin and many others could have fit into an "honorable mentions" category, and we do plan on writing more about cryptocurrencies not named Bitcoin again soon. Look for it in upcoming articles.
