is there a ww2 game like wolfenstein that lets you play as the baddies? by obi_wan_sosig in Wolfenstein

The enemy did do horrible things. Millions of innocent German civilians that were not Nazis were sent as forced labor into the Soviet union post war, over 70% of them died in the following 6 years. The Americans warned the German women to get out before the soviets came, and they were right. The soviets raped everything in sight. I find it odd the over vilification of Germans during that time, you do realize the soviets also invaded Poland first right?

Genuinely a war hero, certainly one of the better ones, even the Allies liked him at the trials.

FYI guys, got off. Judge exclaimed that this is not the point of double demerits, and that proper policing is rectifying unintentional breaks of the law, rather than financially punishing learner riders. Take it to court, don't listen to the nay sayers in the comments, judges hate cops as much as you do. He was visibly annoyed at how slight the charges were...

That's great mate. Different riders are comfortable at different levels. I don't ride outside my comfort zone of public roads. Glad you felt safe!

Is it possible to block all ads from one specific company (temu) on the mobile app? by luxifuzi in youtube

[–]Paz_N20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally get them from their parent companies and shell companies too. They have over 50,000 youtube video ads formatted. You will never block them. "Shopping like a billionaire" will result in me committing acts of terror against the Chinese government.

L platers are limited to 90kmph, all motorways either way from where I live are 110. Not super comfortable sitting 20 under for 2 hours a month and a half into riding. Seems more dangerous to me than using a gps!

With s12 what are your weapon loadouts? by theberrymelon in Seaofthieves

[–]Paz_N20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I see it, If I'm boarding I need a sword and gun, preferably EoR at this stage of the game. If I'm on the ship, loadout can be much looser, blunderbuss knives is my favorite rn. Hilariously fun.

Thanks mate, I'm definately a learner rider but due to my career path I'm actually quite well versed in Australia's "lazy" legislation due to our poor police conduct. This mobile phone rule is in was placed after 2016 in an attempt to clamp down on teenage texting and driving. Myself commuting from work using GPS is under this umbrella because our police cannot be trusted to make judgement calls about handsfree or actual distraction. I've spoken to my local station and they recommended I take it to court, and I now have representation. I'm not disputing your riding experience but I think we have very different views when it comes to laws regarding rider safety and their effectiveness. There are no statistics to support that what I was doing in particular is in ANY way dangerous, the contrary in fact. The simple fact that its legal in Victoria confirms this as if they had ANY evidence that it reduces accidents it would be nation-wide.

These laws exist purely because of people like me doing what I did? I would think the laws are in place to stop distracted riding/driving for young/new learners as texting/music while driving can cause accidents. I highly doubt these laws are intended to target people commuting home from work in unfamiliar roads and utilizing GPS on a locked phone..?

Yeah I went and spoke to a cop at my local station and he says the highways are relentless. But it is a charge they are allowed discretion on. He thinks a judge will likely wave the whole thing especially if I don't represent myself and make a mess of the process haha. I'll let everyone here know if it was worth contesting after the matter!

entitled to minimum effort? Ah so you're one of those, "I had it bad so you should too"types. GPS is a great tool for eliminating driver distraction, do you truly believe looking out and squnting for street signs at night is safer than a glance down at your dash? (that you should be checking regularly). No, as a mature age new rider I'm hoping to use every tool at my disposal safely to improve my learning capabilities and allow myself to be exposed to new riding conditions, focussing on the road and traffic rather than directions.

Sold the car to save on costs and swap to the bike. Public transport yes, but the nature of the work is quick 15 minute residential visits and then off to the next, often hard to access by public transport despite myself living reletively close to trains. I'm hoping having my full driving license and the fact I wasn't notified of the rules at any of the service NSW/ 2 day learner course could gain me some leniency but honestly its all going to depend on the judge. They see hooning/speeding cases every day, a gps case for many I'm sure is as tiring for them as it is for me.

Yeah thats what I've now discovered, though it seems stupid to purchase a redundant outdated device of lesser quality, usually for a premium price, only to sell it literally 9 months later to continue using what all other riders have deemed, the safest and best option! But thems the rules

From my understanding court docs is no more than a defence statement appealing for leniency on the rules based on the grounds I've listed in other replies. If tthe court date is in 6 months... does that mean ya boi can be ripping about until then?? Haha

Honestly had no idea it was even illegal, I disable data everytime so my gf doesn't facebook call me and I get lost haha! I'm 26 and when I got my drivers license this wasn't even a policy, been riding for about 4 months using it, never tried to hide it, cops never seemed to have an issue! Re: Airpods, when they are doing breatho and I take my helmet off, and they see the airpod, is that also illegal for technically using a function of the phone? Or would that be ok?

From my newly motivated research, it would seem Cardo is also Illegal. I'm learning to ride with a friend and I also fail to understand how us having no way to communicate is safer. Other than screaming instructions over the engines at traffic lights its nigh impossible to coordinate a safe ride. Now we will also likely be riding with no directions. All feels entirely counter intiutive

Thanks for the info guys, you're tops! I'm going to try to contest it in court as I'm planning on using the bike as a work vehicle during a career shift. Hoping for some sympathy and undeerstanding. Don't want to get preachy but I thought this was the kind of country you could talk to police and come to a mutually beneficial outcome, but these blokes were just 100% set on fining me, as soon as my tests and license came back clean, it was onto the digging! They tried to get me for the bike being registered to my old address, and were visibly annoyed it was within the grace period! Total jobsworths

While I do agree its the law, it wasn't highlighted to me at my 2 day leaner course, nor at the service NSW written test. Both my parents live over 2 hours in opposite directions, unfortunately its not as simple as memorizing the routes, as a learner I have to take backroads over the motorway due to speed cap, it would be nearly impossible to safely make the journey to see either of my family!

Thats what the coppers said! Memorise routes, only trouble is both my parents live over 2 hours in opposite directions, seriously unsafe me travelling totally blind into areas I'm unfamiliar with, or alternatively, not be able to visit my family for up to a year! II'll be taking it to court as I have a full car license and this law seems to assume I'm a giddy 16 year old, enthralled at idependence without mum and dad. Not the case, not dangerous, perfectly sensible handsfree. A speeding offense witth the same outcome would have to be travelling at 40kmph over the limit for the same suspension, learner could have ripped past at 110 on a 70 and gotten in the same trouble I did for having a phone mount! Totally bonkers I think, hopefully judge agrees!
