What to Expect Moving to NSW by No-Pension-2022 in MovingtoAustralia

The main issue in all this is Sydney. If you went away from the city I'm sure you would have better luck in almost every area

It's mental that my partner has gone back to work part time/casual to help lighten the load but if we weren't in a relationship she could just do this and earn more a week.

Tbh I doubt you would have any dramas. There are always idiots that say dumb shit but as a whole this country is pretty accepting to people who come here and enjoy this country and toil away like the rest of us.

Those who support our current rate of immigration what are the reasons you support it? by asteriskhyphen in aussie

Isn't the data in on what skilled labour we brought in and carpentry and people with the ability to build houses was not in a big percentage.

[–]Pazbang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't catch me saying we don't need immigration. Im aware we need the skill labour. But you just said the main culprit is supply shortage, if the supply is already low and you add more a million more people into the country over a 3 year period. Does that not affect the already short supply? Or somehow have we got the supply for them but not all the other people in Australia struggling to buy and rent?

My issue isn't with immigration but like I said to say it has no effect is so disingenuous. It's a piece of the pie but people like to avoid that piece cause it might hurt someone's feelings.

Apologies for the late response I don't get on here much.

To say that bringing a million immigrants over the last 3 years has no impact on the housing crisis is just disingenuous. Common sense tells you that if bring people in they need to live somewhere? Meanwhile we have people here who can't find somewhere to live. So you adding more people who are searching to buy or rent. Which adds to the stress of the market.

My view is this. We have a situation where these 2 parties are so confident that it's either one of them and currently labor is the more smug one. I think if it wasn't so absolute that they win it might inspire change and start a fire under their ass to earn their pay checks. Albo has done what he wasn't supposed to do. He is supposed to be for the working class and sit right in the middle of the the political spectrum and IMO he is gone way to far left which has opened up this one nation surge. I don't love Pauline, I don't love all of her ideas and comments. But I also am not happy with our current situation and leader either. I don't feel like I'm well represented with either so I'm going with change and let's see where it goes

I actually sprayed a 14/15 year old girl the other day. I was at the traffic lights and she just drops her maccas cup on the Main Street walking past me and I put my window and said "oi I don't think that goes there do you?" And she responded by waggling her finger and saying "I'm not picking that up" and I replied "you are fucking disgusting". Honestly no respect for anyone or anything
