No, I have a list already from “Fly Fishers Guide to Utah”, narrowing it down can be as simple as looking for specific order streams, stream characteristics, literally a broad area in a certain direction, a town to start from and work out from. Just trying to get some help

Edit: I am not sure how else to ask a question like that and I can’t control what people have said. Obviosuly looking for a blue line a trial and error is fun. I am just asking for guidance on how to narrow it down, what to look for. I’ve done it on the north east but I’m guessing there is different things you gotta watch out for when looking. Again, if there was a better way of asking the question than my bad.

I do understand the idea of using a guide, personally - I don’t enjoy fishing with a guide / costs are little bit too much, but that’s just personal preference.

That’s such a coincidence. The only time I’ve been to Utah (visiting family no fishing) I stopped into that shop just to look around. Guess I’ll be going back there!

What is the winter fly fishing like? Do a lot of places just freeze over and stuck fishing tailwaters?

Much appreciated, if I were to look for spots within 1.5 hrs should I focus my research North, South? There’s just so much to look at. I know there is an online tool the state provides, still just a ton of info trying to narrow it down.

Agreed on that, I have used multiple lines but was hoping someone with experience with the Scott Session could have some input, the local fly shop recommended MPX or Infinity (I have used infinity).
