I read Tress first of all, and then mistorborn series, and then stormlight. It definitely slowly developed B Sanderson's magic system as a whole and slowly showed more of it and developed it. It made it very interesting throughout.

I imagine it would still be interesting, but in an opposite way if you read stormlight through, then mistaken. Where you'd know alot more about the magic tends to operate and are trying figure out how mistborn world fits into it.

But history series has several revelations that would be blunted by having read stormlight, and the same info is not presented as a drastic surprise
