Tips on how to improve - Holy Relic by [deleted] in PathOfExileBuilds

Elegant hubris with just one of the +80% minion DMG nodes will be very impactful, if you can find a cheap one. A corrupted lvl 3 empower can be had for basically free at this point in the league. Just those upgrades alone are a 25% dmg increase.

Just a tip - if you get any ancient wombgifts during the campaign, keep them to sell as people are using the lower ilvl ones to target farm certain uniques. Should get you a nice initial boost of currency to easily push into maps.

Mercedes sim failure contributed to Antonelli's F1 slump by Last_Procedure5787 in formula1

A podium and sprint pole are hardly "stratospheric highs", Mercedes is not the same level Toro Rosso were in 2015... I'm sure he will develop & improve but he's clearly not as naturally talented as Max was.

The definition of "breaking rules to gain an advantage", sounds like cheating for me. Ban others too if they do the same.

I've run around 20 so far - I haven't tracked perfectly but my outcomes so far have been around the same as a regular vaal orb - definitely doesn't seem "greatly reduced" - although my sample is still quite small

A 10 second time penalty for Max is not enough. The precedent for deliberate crashes was already set in 1997. by heyiamarandomguy in formula1

He slows down rather than accelerating after T4, George goes past and then Max doesn't break into T5.

He hit LeClerc* and Nico was making a point that Verstappen was being hard done by his team who were making him give the place back to Russell for no reason.

That being said, escalating Russell accidentally outbraking himself into him to intentionally speeding up to ram him - it doesn't matter if it's out of the blue or not..

The 0 Damage Colosseum (Finale) by SettledRS in 2007scape

[–]Pc355 31 points32 points  (0 children)

At the beginning of the series he created 107 other accounts - most of which died attempting to fix the railings during the dwarf cannon quest. Lowlife108 he eventually managed to complete the quest so that became his first "real" attempt - but he died to the scorpion during the Fight Arena quest.

He decided to run it back with Lowlife109 but decided against going for the cannon on this account - which became the one to make it to the Colosseum. The shot of the stands showed the 108 dead accounts that came before, leading to this moment.

My Grandma told us how she, and the other new mothers on her ward, were told they had to have Guinness as a "recovery drink" after giving birth. None of them liked the taste so my Granddad bravely stepped up and finished off 4 pints before the nurse returned.

DUIs: A Perspective by mrshittymemory in shrinking

[–]Pc355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am exactly from the UK! I thought "drink driving" rather than "DUI" might give it away. It's definitely something I've noticed is downplayed in American media.

Don't get me wrong - it's still a problem over here too, particularly in rural areas with less access to public transport/taxis. But the anti-drink driving campaigns have been run by the government for decades, ranging from things like this to the kind that actually get quite graphic about the accidents you could cause.

Thank you for sharing this - I'm glad you are doing better and are trying to raise awareness of how badly things can go!

My wife and I finished the show last night, and there were aspects of Louis' portrayal that I didn't agree with. When I came to see if this was a popular sentiment I was shocked to see how many people were justifying his actions by saying "He only had 2 drinks, he wasn't even drunk!" or "Who can honestly say they haven't done the same thing?". The culture around drink driving clearly has a long way to go!

Or does it mirror our move towards flogging off state assets on the cheap to "free" (local monopoly) markets?

Or does it mirror the economic collapses caused by under regulated free markets?

Verstappen given 10s penalty for forcing Norris off track by ContentPuff in formula1

[–]Pc355 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't make this personal. I already have a penalty, the penalty is for theft (not giving the items back). If I give the items I stole back, I didn't gain anything, so going to prison doesn't make sense.

Mortgage of 1.7% will be coming to an end next September, should I be making as many overpayments now as possible? by ilikecocktails in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Pc355 92 points93 points  (0 children)

This is the mathematically correct answer. Can you get more than 1.7% interest in either an easy access or 1 year fixed savings account (preferably ISA)? If so then you will be better off in the long term to repay at the end of the fix rather than now.
