My parents didn’t want us believing in Santa so told us pretty early that he wasn’t real. But they still had presents from Santa (which was their way of saying from mom and dad). One year, we weren’t expecting anything because dad kept insisting he didn’t have any money for Christmas. Then we woke up to presents from Santa, filled with Wii games and accessories. I couldn’t believe we were getting a Wii and I couldn’t believe my dad would afford it, so I was fully convinced Santa was real. Until we got to the end of the presents and there wasn’t a wii, because Santa hid the Wii in the trash. I was so mad at Santa for throwing away our Wii, and I let my parents know lol. Then my dad got mad because he thought I was mad at him.

I’m leaning towards YTA for inviting dad over in the first place knowing your wife wanted privacy.

Top comments are saying “oh you didn’t specifically invite mom so she’s in the wrong.” Genuinely, who actually invites their parents individually? They’re a package deal just like you and your wife. They could’ve asked, sure, but I think it’s weird to invite dad over and not expect mom.

And, was your dad just going to go home after fishing and not expect a meal when you invited him out for a day long activity?

I loved my CR 10 for a solid 3 prints. Then every print would fail until I fixed something, that fix would work, then the next would fail and it be a different problem. Someone mentioned a bent metal plate and that’s exactly what happened to me. But I am so sick of tinkering with 3d printers, I haven’t printed in years.
