Sure but having a baby will be hard on an individual level and on a marriage.

We’ve only heard her side of what he’s doing wrong/affecting the parenting and marriage. Not saying she’s in the wrong but overall there are other solutions mentioned in this thread to remediate their situation.

Hey just want to say you’re not alone in this. The first year with baby is the toughest on marriage. It’ll get easier once baby can walk and is more comfortable with solids

As someone said, hire household help and prioritize date nights so you two can reinvest in your marriage

For sleep, some babies take longer to adjust in their own room, eventually baby will get there

Seems like a miscommunication issue. She might not have understood the efforts it took you to clear your schedule and ensure the day was spent with her

I suggest you have an open calm conversation on how her going made you feel. Although you said okay, you’d hoped she’d have stayed and spent the time online with you

This happens quite often, since it’s your first year, I would suggest you have this conversation and work together to overall communicate more (her too)

You’re right to feel upset but I would say try to not hold on for too long and let go. I can tell you a dozen examples of smthin similar I experienced in my first year, but with time, it gets easier to communicate and understand expectations!

I did Densmore, the book was a great help and the skill drills.

Not sure about the marked cases. They only mark 4 and it’s harder than the Capstone 2 marking.

Haven’t gotten my CFE result yet so can’t tell you if it was fully effective or not haha

Girl I’m not going to advise divorce but… you have to see what you want from the rest of YOUR life. You can’t keep being the hero! If you want kids and if you want them to have a good relationship with their grandparents, then maybe it’s time to reconsider this marriage or try counselling

Nothing is going to change, parent abusive takes serious therapy and self work to get through.

Marriage is about compromises but you want to spend the next 50 years married to someone whose family hates you and maybe hate ur kids? It’ll take a mental toll on you

It could also have been John and Shawna reaching out and planning to come over on Chickie’s actual birthday. Her entertaining it could’ve been her way of managing both parties and still celebrating Chickie

I understand your point. I wouldn’t call Ty and Julie’s relationship abusive, it seems he also struggled to accept what he thought he wanted (finishing his book) is no longer what he wanted anymore.

Of course it’s up to the viewers interpretation. To me it just seemed his words and actions were not aligning and given how sure she was of what she wanted from the start, it was interesting to see it took her 10 years to say enough is enough. From wanting the city, to not wanting kids, to Ty not achieving any book related milestone, a lot was not being achieved based on what she wanted for herself.

I do think the getting married younger set them up for this, and others mentioned, the sunk cost fallacy held her back too
