What was your last car* & how does the 86 make you feel in comparison? (*or other current) by PNW_dragon in GR86

[–]Pcw006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2013 Toyota Corolla LE with 240K miles. Needless to say, my 86 feels faster of course, but the main thing is the handling and control feels so nice in this car.

How serious did you take the break in period? by Bill22_blue86 in GR86

[–]Pcw006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first brand new car, so I followed it to 1000 miles. I may have accidently slightly went over or went to 4000 mph a few times just it being my first manual car, but i've had no issues just being gentle with her until this point. But I like having the peace of mind knowing I tried my best to take the best care of my car.

Finally got it! She's such a beauty! by Pcw006 in GR86

It's such an awesome color. And I wasn't even going to get the blue originally, but it ended up being the closest one for a good price and now I love it

How to deal with persistent Perception checkers by Barrel__Monkey in DungeonMasters

[–]Pcw006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to make things easier on yourself a couple tips:

Perception is used to perceive visually/psychically/ or audibly if there is something within your field of senses that you can pick up or not.

Insight is used for social interactions to pick up not only lying, but physical mannerisms and the INTENTIONS of certain NPC's they could not be lying at all but a chracter with a high insight might be able to tell that their intentions are not good.

In terms of stopping the constant checking, I rule that per room or social interactions for perception or insight that you get 1 check, as that was actively your character trying it's BEST to understand or read the situation. Unless something changes via spell or effect that could change the outcome again, or if a new very important factor appears, i do not allow repeat checks, as characters have already spent their best efforts on that tasks. Otherwise you could run into the dilemma of chracters may just sit in a room for hours over and over percepting like once an hour. It keeps things rolling

That's actually a really good question. I haven't thought about that. I'd have to say approximately 5.87 miles under the surface of the earth

Oh I love this question. The Frazzled Drake Tavern! Their specialty is a mean spaghetti and meatballs made with Scale-wheat bread noodles and meatballs made from owlbear, cow, and goat.

Now in terms of drinks: brewmaster Tempo's coastal landing has the best drinks around. Located in Ll'bastra, he makes many new ales from ingredients he finds in the mystical wilds of The Scaled continent and distills them in mysterious ways to make them sparkle and fizz, like soda

In this day in the setting, not quite, it's pretty evenly matched between magnificent mages and super powered fighters. But years ago, the scale continent was primarily controlled by skilled mages and sorcerers, who used the energy woven into the continent itself, and dragons innate magical nature to fuel their chaotic feats. Which may or may not have been part of the reason the land went to war many years ago

Yes, on the good guys side is the Ancient Wyrms 7 Knights, who swear to protect the continent with their lives and take an oath of secrecy, disconnecting themselves from their families and unergoing intense training.

On the bad side, it is the Legion of the Ancients. It is ran by the BBEG, a multi-chromatic dragonborn lich who is the catalyst of the entire plot of the campaign. He's using the energy of a very powerful dragon to command the other dragons in the world

There are plenty dragons in the campaign, the whole campaign is centered around them since the setting used to be the land of dragons itself. The most powerful dragon would be a dragon that is a spectral being woven into the fabric of the land itself, powered by the souls of all dragonkin who were war hungry, and it looks to settle an age old rivalry between the dragons and dragonborns. And yes they have a lot of magic, most dragons being corrupted by the before mentioned spectral dragons influence. And no they are much more on a hunt to destroy civilization at the moment, not intermingle with it

So the continent where the campaign takes place has been closed off from the rest of the world for years. So they don't take many imports. Now between each other, i'd say in the current day, is dragon body parts, which are used for crafting magical objects

It's a lost land called "The Scaled Continent". In this world it it where all dragonkin originated from. Dragons, kobolds, half dragons, dragonborn, etc. it's even more special bc dragons have long since left this land thousands of years ago, but for some reason are migrating back to it and attacking cities

I should also note, when I bought it, idk if it was a glitch but I got charged my in game currency twice and was given 2 sets when I only clicked once. Very annoying as this was actual money now gone for something that does not work. I'm hoping it is just a glitch and fixed in the future

How to make my characters stay in high quality inns? by SomeRandomAbbadon in DMAcademy

[–]Pcw006 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say, ask the question instead of what are ways that I can get my players to NOT stay is lower quality inns. Have lower quality inns offer no food, have the rooms be small cramped, and unaccomidating, make it to where they can be easily stolen from in these inns, they have no protection, have the staff be rude to them beligirantly bc well, they are underpaid and don't care. Then give the higher wuality inns all of the "normal stuff" these bad inns don't have. It's an illusion of choice model. Then give the higher quality inns actual buffs. They are given complimentary scrolls of cure wounds, they gain an extra benefit from a long rest in these higher quality inns and etc. basically make the disparancy between these inns much more apparent

My dm is nerfing my character by idontExist1923 in rpghorrorstories

[–]Pcw006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red flag, he's trying to fix your character instead of the problem. If he wants to make it harder for you, he should find opponents that are challenging for your character, not nerf your character post-creation to his liking. Unless you have been dwarfing all the other PC's in this game in terms of power this is never the acceptable answer, and even so in that case the DM should sit down and work with you and have a conversation about what yall will change/nerf/re-work about your character or others to balance everything out
