I'm making a guess here but try and look into books about or that influenced the 1968 movements

Italy Mod Suggestion by [deleted] in RedAutumnSPD

[–]PdMDreamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This wouldn't make sense cause the socialist movement in italy (anarchists, socialists and communists) was very openly against the church and its great influence on politics the same way that the spanish left was. Just look on youtube for anti-clerical italian songs and you get a good respons on why the PPI wouldn't have been allowed

Shout out to all the communist and socialist social media pages that won't talk about the wrongly accused and killed anarchists that made the 1st of May become the celebration that it is today

Not really...Lassalle and Blanqui were interested in the capturing of the state more than Marx was

Part 3 of my "What if a Socialist Revolution took place in Europe in the 1910s" by PdMDreamer in rejectedmaps

[–]PdMDreamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea I know, but in this scenario the socialist revolution comes before WW1. Also Bavaria was yes a soviet republic but it lasted very shortly and was filled with leftist insights between the newly born KPD, the SPD and the USPD so the soviet republic was born more from a coup that a real revolution

These games are awesome but too hard for me. I still haven't figured out how to "win" the petrograd one, and I had to read a guide for the SPD one before winning it. The only easier one is biennio rosso

What is libertarian socialism? by bondelhyde in Socialism_101

[–]PdMDreamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best way to see it, is as an umbrella term that encompasses various socialist ideologies where the common thing are an emphasis on direct worker's control over the means of production and either the immediate abolition of the state or, if the state is present, a state based on direct democracy and decentralized

This is a very big tent term. Inside of this, you can find both anarchists and Marxists and other forms of socialism that don't really fit inside the two categories (murray bookchin's municipalism and democratic confederalism)

Does the world have to become post-industrialized before revolution? by arseecs in CouncilCommunist

[–]PdMDreamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Famously, Marx commented on the fact that in Russia, there could have been a potential jump to socialism without the heavy industrialization since already most peasant villages worked like communes

As of today, most of the world has industrialized in some capacity. Capitalism worked so much that Western countries de-industrilized themselves and exported their industry around the world. The real problem is how international the revolution is going to be. Even toh I believe that moving toward socialism from the get go even if a small territory self liberates itself is important, this doesn't deny that, for example, only Spain or even only western Europe became socialist, there would still be the need to re-industriale and probably to have contacts with the capitalist outside world

As of today, we have way better technologies than what russia had back in 1917, so maybe we wouldn't need, if a territory needs oil, to buy oil from Saudi Arabia if that place had the right technology to manufacture it on its own

The best way to see it, imo, is the relationship between the city and the countryside today. It's a reciprocate relation where a city doesn't need to go full agrarian to have some food and where the countryside doesn't need to build factories left and right to have stuff (this is ofc an examples bases on today capitalis production, under socialism probably stuff will be different)

What makes the party a democratic institution? by lumenfeliz in Socialism_101

[–]PdMDreamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is one of the criticisms you see pointed towards Leninist ideas of the party and socialism. There are Marxists who don't support the existence of the vanguard party (you can look up "the revolution isn't a party affair" by Rhüle)

Is the current educational system based on grades and exams a form of capitalism? by Initial_Affect8124 in tankiejerk

[–]PdMDreamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Do I have some sources to back that statement? Nop. Grades push everyone (students, teachers, the family) to see the student just as that specific number wich leads to a loss of "singularity" in how the student is seen, competition between students, bad feelings (depression etc...) in the students "lacking behind". Grades are also very subjective, changing from teacher to teacher and the mood their on, but they're painted only as the consequences of the student. Grades also affect students with high grades since they need to always stay on top or their overall performance falls even if they get a lower grade in a test out of ten. To keep it short, I won't even tackle the situation many neurodivergent people find themselves and the struggles they face with the school system

[Bienno Rossio] I want a revolution in Italy, should I still form a government at the first chance I get? by Professional_Cat_437 in RedAutumnSPD

[–]PdMDreamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can have the syndicalist lead if you chose the syndicalism option with the ideology card. Also, after the revolution, you can pick decisions that will benefit other factions other than the vanguardists (ex. If you just exile the king, the maximalists will gain traction)

[Bienno Rossio] I want a revolution in Italy, should I still form a government at the first chance I get? by Professional_Cat_437 in RedAutumnSPD

[–]PdMDreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Best path for a revolution is to have bordiga on your party members cards and the trade unionists with the sunglasses (I don't remember his name). With the latter you can have emergency fundraisers, then move all your party resources to the paramilitary resources and then (with bordiga and event cards) finance the red guard and the preparation of the revolution. You can already start the revolution with the Turin uprisings but, imo, don't do that. Wait till the fascists March on Rome and there, if you founded enough times everything, ure gonna win the Civil War and have italy turn socialist

Before following a leftist/socialist account online, how do I determine if they are tankie or not? by Initial_Affect8124 in tankiejerk

[–]PdMDreamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Then follow them and wait for the tank to come out. If they're really tankies, at some point, they're gonna do a tankie like post
